Tuesday around 6ish
It seems unlikely that there is anyone in the Seattle area who reads me but doesn’t read Pharyngula, but just in case there is, PZ is in town (in Auburn actually) and we’re going to meet up at the Pike Place Brewery so that Pharyngulites can buy us a beer. Cam and Josh will be there I think. Come along.
Ophelia and PeeZee in one place? Squee! If work will let me go, I’ll be there, even with bells on if you like.
I’ll be there, for sure.
Dana is also a seattlite? Wow, this place really is like home. Someday, maybe I’ll have to retire here.
With bells or without, just be there.
Damn it! I wish they had that beam me up thing perfected. Then I could appear and join the fun!
So do I! Especially since I found you the coolest present on Saturday.
What a great avatar.
Already met PZ in DC, but I would like the chance to say hi to Ophelia while I’m stuck in Seattle for foreseeable future.
So you’re saying that PZ is worth meeting only once?
I had high expectations, but PZ really disappointed. I keeping hoping to come face-to-face with a real-life, roaring atheist hell-beast, the kind you read horror stories about on the internet, you know, from decent folk. Turns out, we just chatted about zebrafish science. I had a thoroughly pleasant time. But I left thinking “Unbelievable!”
Perhaps I should have bought him a beer first.
I know, it’s so sad, wanting a dragon and getting a mere human. It’s the same with me. I’m Ayn Rand II/Gnu Atheist witch-hunter baying for blood in the tabloids, but in reality…….ho hum.
Well, we could practice baying while we’re there. And, while I left my hob-nailed jackboots at home and am wearing comfortable sneakers, they’re good enough for kicking kittens.
I’ll do my best, but my Ayn Rand costume is at the cleaners.
It’s been days! Are you okay? Just how much beer was involved, herhn?
Where are you OB? I’m staring down a pile of Law readings that I need to complete by this afternoon, and thus I have some serious procrastinating to do. Why do you foil me with your absence? ;)
Where is this Seattle place of which you speak?
It was yesterday evening dallinks. Yesterday! Tuesday!
Sorry we missed you.
