London June 20: Rally against Sharia and religious laws
Hundreds will be demonstrating in London against Sharia and religious laws and in support of secularism and universal rights on Sunday 20 June 2010. The rally organised by the One Law for All Campaign will be held from 1400-1600 hours at Richmond Terrace junction with Whitehall opposite Downing Street (SW1A 2). (Please note venue change from Trafalgar Square made by police; closest underground: Westminster.)
On the day, the Campaign will make public its new report entitled: Sharia Law in Britain: A Threat to One Law for All and Equal Rights. In the report One Law for All outlines what Sharia law is, how it is practised in Britain and exposes the way in which Sharia Councils and Muslim Arbitration Tribunals are circumventing British law and human rights legislation. The report also reveals the gross injustices to women and children in particular and reiterates the need to end Sharia and all religious courts on the basis that they work against, and not for, equality and human rights.
After the One Law for All rally, there will be a march organised by Iran Solidarity from 1600-1700 hours. The march will move from Richmond Terrace Junction to a protest at the embassy of the Islamic regime of Iran. According to Spokesperson, Maryam Namazie, “whilst racist and far Right groups like the English Defence League and the British Nationalist Party blame ‘Muslim immigration’ for Sharia law in order to further their inhuman agenda, it is people living under Islamic laws or the many who have fled Sharia and sought refuge here who are the principal victims of Islamism, and in the forefront of the struggle against it. Within this context, the One Law for All Campaign and the fight against Sharia law in Britain is an important front in the ongoing battle of people in Iran and everywhere against Islamism and for freedom, equality and secularism.”
The march will culminate in a protest rally in front of the embassy of the Islamic regime of Iran (16 Prince’s Gate, London SW7 1PT; closest underground: Knightsbridge). The event will end at 1730 hours.

According to Maryam Namazie, “It is very apt for us to remember Neda in our battle for equal rights in Britain or wherever we happen to live. Neda’s murder and Sharia law in Britain are intrinsically linked; both are the result of the rise of the political Islamic movement of which the Islamic regime of Iran is a cornerstone.”

Maryam Namazie is a Communist. When will the protest take place against North Korea’s cold blooded murder of 46 south Korean sailors? That is five times the number Israel killed in its Gaza flotilla relief attack. If I could I would assassinate Kim Jong Il. North Korea’s government is the world’s worst. Iran’s rigged presidential election is more than exists in any Communist country. If any countries are theocracies it sure is Communist ones. You must an atheist or else.

yes – and those deaths in the Gaza Flotilla attack were caused by islamic ‘activists’ attacking relatively harmless customs & excise officers.
It is because Islam condones attacks such as those of the flottilla against the israel officers that this march is necessary.

The term Communist is almost beyond meaningless in the modern era. Its very similar to the word socialism, both taken beyond their real meanings.

Besides calling somebody a “Communist” isn’t itself a criticism of Communism. People just assume Communism is unsound regardless of whether it is, or it isn’t.

Communism and Socialism are just like religion they mean whatever anyone adopting them wants them to mean, that way they can never be pinned down and they never fail since the “true” version has never been tried and any wrongdoing on their behalf is only due to the “others” who just aren’t doing it right.

How long before OneLawForAll is lambasted by the UAF and the pro-Islamists who want Sharia?
The EDL is trying to achieve exactly the same as One Law For All. They just have a bad reputation as fascists and far-right, which is untrue, but which OLFA has bought into.
I hope OLFA is able to achieve the right result without hitting the same barriers the EDL has had to fight, unsuccessfully
It’s irritating that Namazie deploys the usual ‘racist’ smear against native Britons who don’t like seeing their country Islamised. She is a Communist which predictably means that she wishes to see the same social system in every country. Well, you cannot force countries to give up their beliefs and cultures, you can only persuade through setting a positive example that others wish to emulate. Namazie’s ‘internationalist’ stance sets us on the road to World War III. Much as I dislike sharia and all things Islamic, it’s best not to meddle in the affairs of other countries and to concentrate on solving the problems arising from Islamisation that we have in our own.
Let’s de-Islamise our traditionally non-Muslim Western societies and deploy moderate nationalism (i.e. not xenophobia, not jingoism and not imperialism) to achieve this goal. Anyone who wishes to follow Islam should be encouraged to leave (indigenous converts included). Our outlooks simply do not mix. If we do not effectively establish some states as refugia in which non-Islamic Western traditions are free to thrive, we will eventually all go under and our civilisation will be lost, at one with Ninevah and Tyre. It’s the only way to prevent sharia from taking hold: the assertion of a moderate nationalist culturist platform in Western societies as exemplified by the PVV.
Still, I’m glad to see that the French are developing innovative an anti-Islamisation movement. Witness last night’s sausage and wine protest/party in Paris. How about a dogwalking protest somewhere in Britain with “seeing-eye dogs” (i.e. guide dogs) taking the lead (please excuse the pun) in a mass dogwalk through a park that has effectively become a no-go zone because of Islamic colonisation?
Waraq – well maybe you could organize such a rally! Somebody has to do it; maybe you’re that somebody. Or maybe you know somebody, or several, who could and would do it.
I am not a defender of Communism, Thornavis I agree with you 100% about such belief systems.
Im glad people are starting to oppose shiara law, I thought the whole of Europe would be under it soon but freedom is fighting back
