I’m fine – although I live in spitting distance of 3 of the explosions (Kings Cross, Russell Square, and Tavistock Square) and work sniffing distance from Tavistock square. Home all day and everyone I live and work with seems to be fine. Can’t give much useful info because I haven’t left the house, but we have been hearing choppers all day.

Considering that this appears to be “faith-based destruction”, this quote from Sam Harris seems as apposite here as it would be as a comment on “Religious Myths Gotta Go”:

Call me a sentimental old fart, but a man who can craft a sentence like that may be forgiven the occasional infelicity of fact or phrase.
I’m fine. I’ve been frantically texting my friends in London. Luckily, they all texted back.
I’m OK – thanks to the new kid, I’ve not been working in London for weeks. All my family seem OK as well, which is nice. I can’t help not being especially suprised, alas. I have not been turned into Christopher Hitchens by the bombs, either.

I was safely on holiday in Cyprus at the time. I’m OK, and have heard from everyone I know as well. I even got an email from an aquaintance in New York I hadn’t heard from in 2 yrs checking to see everyone was OK.
Ah, the safety of Cyprus! snicker
