The requirement
Stop right there, bro.
So, the requirement was that you hadda check all the right boxes or they weren’t gonna let you in. So the requirement was that you had to say that you were ccccccccis gender born. So in other words, a transgender lesbian was not gunna be accepted into this group. [dramatic pause] Why not?? I’m just as much female as every other person on the planet at this point in my life.
So every other person on the planet is female. I did not know that.
Unless…does he mean “every other person” in the sense of alternating? So exactly half of all persons are female? No, because he doesn’t say it that way. And because he goes on to say, smirking –
I’ve made the proper adjustments, and all my parts are female, so [whiny child voice] why can’t I be part of this lesbian group, why do I hafta be born cisgender female in order to be part of their group? What gives them the right to say who’s female and who’s not female?
Which is a stupid question, because they’re not saying who is and who’s not, they’re asking applicants to say. This guy could just say he is.
I just found that totally rude and wrong on so many levels.
Well that’s women for you.
Born a “cisgender” female? What in the hell does that even mean? Assigned or ? These people talk such garbage.
Well, he’s just as much a female as I am. I’ll give him that. But not at all as female as, say, my wife.
I suspect he meant to say “any other person” rather than “every other person”.
Your transcription of “ccccccccis” is accurate, and I wonder what’s up with that. Stumbling over the word? Hissing deliberately? I also wonder what the actual wording of the question is. I suspect it did not say “cisgender born”; perhaps “born female, that is a cisgender woman”.
I agree the group isn’t saying who is female and not female. They are setting criteria for membership in their own group. Why is it so important that he be allowed into this particular group? Why can’t this group set their own requirements?
Many of us have left or been kicked out of groups because we expressed opinions that were considered unacceptable. In my case, while I would have loved for these groups to have been open to a wider set of views, I don’t think their rejection of me constituted a redefinition of their focal points. I’m still liberal, or atheist, or whatever, I’m just not welcome in those groups. I’m not looking to membership in these groups to “affirm” characteristics about myself, but to talk to people with shared interests. If I’m not welcome, perhaps those interests are not shared.
But this guy, he seeks the affirmation more than the shared interests.
Perhaps he’s trying to do a reverse Groucho: “I want to belong to any group that won’t accept me as a member.”
Good one. That should be a thing. “This guy in a wig is doing a reverse Groucho.”
There are people out there that maintain all trans women know the difference between gender identity and sex and don’t confuse the two, and no trans person would ever claim to have become the other sex. This guy serves well as a reminder to the opposite.
It looks as though some surgeon has made a mess of his adam’s apple. His male pattern chin seems to have escaped the scalpel; maybe he ran out of money.
