“Toxic” you say?
Oh good GOD.
How do they get this way? How do they not see it?
The woman asks him why he said, in connection with Rosie Duffield, that “only women have a cervix” is “something that shouldn’t be said” and “is not right.”
“Well,” he says, “look, what I said then and on other occasions is simply that I do not like the way that this becomes so quickly a toxic conversation. I want the conversation to be had with respect…I think about that poor girl Brianna who was murdered and the terrible circumstances of that death…” [clip ends]
Sir, sir, are you aware that women get murdered? Has no one told you that? How does the murder of a teenage boy explain why women shouldn’t say that only women have a cervix?
One teenage boy who had been persuaded he was really a girl was murdered; and so Keir Starmer thinks that means women can’t have any rights? How does that follow?
On those grounds, given the massive numbers of women and girls killed every week, men should be permanently shackled.
Isn’t Brianna the one the judge determined was not killed as the result of transphobia? Which means it is irrelevant, at best.
Exactly that, iknklast. Two other teens had a hit list, and any of the other children on their list could have been the victim. It just happened to be him. Wrong place, wrong time. No other agenda. Something very similar happened back in the nineties, very close to home (in a relationship meaning, not just geographically); but because the perpetrators and victim were members of the same demographic, and there was no such thing as social media, there was no speculation about the status of the victim being relevant to the crime.
Shorter Starmer: “Look, can you women just SHUT THE FUCK UP about this? Quit forcing me to choose a side! I’m trying to please everybody here; your demands for clarification and consistency are makig me look weak, SO JUST STOP IT!”
Shorter Starmer: “Look we absolutely need a Commons majority of 200; our program is so radical that 178, like Tony had, just won’t do. Why are you jeopardising that program by making this sort of trouble?”
