The operative word there is ‘trans’; as in transferring other peoples’ (ie womens’) stuff, names, washroom entry entitlements, etc, etc, etc, to themselves. This is done on the simple entitlement basis of what’s yours is mine, and what’s mines’s me own.
Of what service is a ‘trans lens’ when looking at a something like ‘colonial history’? If it is of service at all, it’s focus is going is be so small as to elucidate next to nothing.
One thing trans people do not lack is visibility.

As far as I can tell a “trans lens” is used exclusively to magnify its lens-haver.
