Just imagine: gender dysphoric males are not the priority of these wicked selfish women. How dare women campaign for female rights instead of male privileges?
“… and there won’t be broad public support for that blend of policy cocktail because the majority of people have at least a shred of compassion for the gender dysphoric …”
And that shred of compassion for gender dysphoric men is more compassion than they have for any women, of course.
That description seems perfectly neutral, and paints gc very reasonably to me. Does Phil think his description damns gender criticism? Did he think it would cause people to recoil from gc thinking?
Holmes, I think that’s exactly what he expects. It will to, where people already buy into sexist and misogynistic thinking.
I’ve noticed recently a small number of trans openly using usernames incorporating references to autogynephilia. Remember a few years ago when even mentioning that at least some trans were AG was enough to get you shouted down and get psychiatrists and academics jobs threatened. No. There is no such thing. It’s a slur on us, trying to say we’re all sick, kinky freaks, was the cry. Now, as with so many other shifting claims, it’s there openly and the attitude is more so what, don’t kink shame me. And you know what? I wouldn’t kink shame them if they didn’t try forcing all the rest of the bullshit on us.
That whole whine is because we won’t pretend that he’s a woman; nothing to do with us being against gender non-conformity. By all means, he may dress however he likes; but he ought not expect that it is a ticket into the ‘woman club’, and that being ‘excluded’ or recognised as being male, is somehow mean of women. He is not, and never will be, a woman. That’s not us being cruel – it’s a simple fact of the way the world works.
By the way, I don’t believe a single word he says about some men ‘passing’ as women. It’s not true. I bet ‘Megan’ is entirely imaginary.

Holmes, I honk that’s exactly what he expects. It will to, where people already buy into sexist and misogynistic thinking.
He’s thinking he’s launched a thousand Butterworth Gasps. But you have to be already primed and supportive to respond in this way. Amyone not already in on it is going to “Yes, and?”

They just can’t see how insulting this claim is, that performing “femininity” is all that’s required to access women’s spaces (and then sometimes not performing at all), by way of the gender identity =sex, sex = gender identity two step, that they’re allowed to dance, but we are not. Facilities that were originally set up based on the difference between female and male sexed bodies are suddenly supposed to be open to men who claim to have a female “gender identity,” nullifying the provisions requiring the discrimination of women’s bodies from mens’, and the exclusive use of them by women that is the very foundation of these sex-based facilities and provisions. If gender is different from sex, then they should have no objection whatsoever to women’s facilities being used by females only, without crying “FOUL!” based on childish, simplistic word games, or “bad puns,” as Bjarte Foshaug describes it. They don’t want us to see and say that they’re trying to get away with changing sawhorses in mid stream. To do so is evil bigotry, apparently.
Fascinating how he can other women, and try to isolate women as a minority, while simultaneously pretending to be one.
It’s an interesting paradox. Why attack a group you’re so desperate to join? Do they really think that their browbeating misogyny and guilt tripping is going to make them more welcomed? But then it seems a lot of this comes down to force and male entitlement. They don’t just want to join, they want to take over. That’s the point of all this “centering” that women are expected to do.
@4 From what I’ve read and heard I get the strong impression that men in general, possibly for evolutionary reasons or simply reasons relating to threat assessment and personal safety, find it harder to distinguish TIMs from women than women do.

The trans cult wants your children. That’s the message here. I hesitate to use the word evil, but that’s the word that fits.
