She was 14
I suppose we have Chase Strangio to thank for this bulletin:
Opposing the death penalty is one thing, and whining about “medically necessary gender-affirming care” is another, when the gender-haver was a rapist and murderer. Citing the rapist murderer’s “enormous suffering” while not citing the victims’ enormous suffering is grotesque.
Women tend not to be rapists and murderers. So, … if you stop believing in “gender” what you have instead is a sick man petitioning for medical procedures that he thinks will make him happier. (And it’s an open question as to whether they will.)
I think this is just the latest trick to avoid the sentence being carried out (apparently the claim of insanity was unsuccessful). This is basically an animal in a cage trying desperately not to be killed. Gender woo properly belongs to overly coddled entitletards, not convicts. Forfeiting the right to roam freely in the world after committing such violent and cruel acts, and depriving innocent people of their lives, is not considered cruel and unusual (with the death penalty being debatable), but of all the things criminals like this have to do without, being allowed to force people to go along with their gender bullshit must be the least of those. The actual rights they have forfeited due to the commission of these atrocities surely outweighs, and must include the frivolous privileges. What the ACLU claims here is grotesque.
The ACLU cares more about rapists than it does about women.
That ‘added context’ must have Strangio fuming. I love it.
I’d rather see Strangio booted out of the ACLU than fuming.
I had meant to address how Strangio … [I guess] … barely mentioned the victims of this monster. Then I saw that the context was added by someone else. Which kind of bowled me over. Then I genuinely got confused as to whether the prisoner was actually executed or was just another victim of the trans “genocide” and what I ended up typing didn’t do justice to issues involved.
Whoever at the ACLU wrote that stupid post, they didn’t feel the need to acknowledge the 14-year old girl whose life was horribly snatched away by a monster who would go on to kill again. How the trans-status of Duane Owen is much more important (in their eyes) to the lives he ended. And how, perhaps, Duane Owen was just using this “I’m TRANS!” gambit to delay the inevitable. Which would make Strangio’s [?] advocacy that much more sickening.
(I’m not an advocate of the death penalty either. But I’m also not someone who believes that every human life is a precious jewel. I can’t say Duane Owen endeared himself to me. It’s just like when Dick Cheney dies I’ll probably drink a toast to that.)
Trump. I so wish Trump would choke to death on a cheeseburger.
