It’s striking how much OJ hates feminists
OJ is doing his “blame women” thing again.
To put it another way, it’s striking how men like OJ cheer from the sidelines as other men dress up in womanface and steal women’s rights.
Men who dress up in womanface are not “vulnerable” in relation to women. It’s the other way around. Men can still punch even when wearing lipstick.
Also, false equivalence is false.
Yes, Birth of a Nation and the KKK used white women as justification for racist violence. That’s true. It doesn’t follow that no one ever abuses women, or treats women as human shields. The KKK is one thing, and feminist women are another.
And so…………… Given those statements by Jones, it is not such a great logical leap (particularly into that dark cavity between Jones’ ears) to say that anyone wanting to ‘protect women’ is automatically and rightly suss, and ‘anti-trans’ and ‘anti-migrant’ to boot until proven otherwise. And therefore …. (drum roll please Mr Conductor!) men who like to pretend they are women should be able to come and go as they please in womens’ washrooms and dunnies.!
(Give us the closing bars of Thus Spake Zarathustra by Richard Strauss. And loud as you like.!)
Quoth Carl Sagan: “They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown.” The principle applies more broadly. Just because Reaction A is inappropriate in Situation X, it does not therefore follow that Reaction A is inappropriate in Situation Y.
Geez what a dumbass. The problem with racists using “protect women” as a reasoning isn’t the “protect women” part, it’s that they restrict that to mean “protect women from men of specific (or other) races, origins, appearance, whatever”. It’s that they don’t go far enough to protect women, who need protection available from ALL men..
Feminists aren’t asking for specific protections for women from men in dresses, from men in woman face, from deluded men, or even from white men who are arguably the single subgroup most dangerous to women (I suspect that latter factoid likely underlies the actual concern that’s triggering all the white male trans activists who like to shout “racist!” and “transphobe!” at every opportunity…). If the different subgroups of men want to segregate themselves from each other that’s their own prejudices and -isms they need to deal with… women want protection available from men. No -isms or phobias necessary.
So? The reasoning appears to be ‘their appeal was baseless, therefore all appeals to protect women are too’. But no, that is not how reasoning works. Their appeal to the safety of women baseless, but others are not automatically so.
Terrible reasoning plus an insinuation that all who disagree are akin to the KKK. Classic OJ.
If Jones is heavily invested in the idea that there is “no conflict” between trans “rights” and women’s rights, then he is forced to conclude that protests organized to “defend women’s rights” or “protect women” from men using self ID as cover to gain access to women’s single-sex spaces are only using those causes as a convenient pretext; they’re really anti-trans bigotry, because TWAW and therefore, completely harmless. Women are not allowed to have interests and spaces of their own that exclude men who claim to be women. To admit that they do completely obviates TWAW. No “exclusion” of TiMs is allowed, even for the purposes of preventing men who are sexual predators from gaining entry to female only facilities, like women’s prisons. Women are supposed to shut up and take it, because men’s feelings are more important than women’s lives. Owen is just upholding a horrible, long tradition.
The charge of “racism” is along for the ride simply to broaden the smear against women standing up for their rights. Trans activists aren’t really that upset by racism per se or they wouldn’t have the nerve to claim that “Trans women are another kind of woman, just like Black women.”
Omar #1—Have to put on my classical music pedantry hat here. The entire Thus Spake Zarathustra, which lasts about 40 minutes, actually ends quietly. But we know what you meant.
Pedantry hat removed.

Are you sure? I’ve heard tell that those hats are very tight-fitting, hard to get off, and in some cases get stuck on for life. ;-)
