Not lightning but taunting
About that race that “Emily” Bridges “won” –
In what sense does “Emily” Bridges’s physical performance “align most closely” with women? Why do both trans men and trans women compete in the women’s category?
Also interesting that “cis people cannot choose their racing category.” It should have a “nyah nyah nyah” after it for the full effect.
Thunder category = men. Lightning category = also men, but including anyone foolish enough to believe it’s not also a men’s category. How does anyone take the term “cis” seriously, I mean if you were to remove it from everywhere it is found it would change nothing. Try removing it from the above post and see the illiteracy at work. The labels of the trans community and it’s allies are illiterate and unacceptable. Let’s all stop indulging this idiocy.
“Cis-people cannot choose their racing category. …”
…Except they can, by identifying as trans. And just like that, the less scrupulous men can race wherever they want.
Also, cis-person? Jesus christ.
The event promoters put out an “Official Statement” after the race.
Well, that’s flatly untrue. There’s no “inclusivity” or “fairness” for women athletes. So, “all athletes” be damned.
And I wanted to comment about the eligibility criteria as well.
This leaves no category in which women who do not have a “gender identity,” who do not “identify as” women, who are not “trans” or “non-binary,” can participate. In trans ideology, “Cisgender, or cis, means that the gender you identify with matches the sex assigned to you at birth.” (That’s the WebMD definition. https://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/cisgender-overview ) I don’t “identify as” or “identify with” any gender. Never have; never will. I think “gender” is harmful, and should be discarded, abandoned, destroyed. No non-gender-identity women (i.e., women) allowed. So much for “inclusion.”
