The manager called
This is the guy who called Marion “terf” and told her to finish her drink and get out:
His profile self-description is…candid:
AGP porn addict male, cumbrained, submissive, moisturised and in my lane
they/she siad/sí
‘power brat & feral’
mildly nsfw
Porn addicted autogynephile man tells woman to get out of restaurant/pub because she’s a Known Feminist and he recognizes her.
He told his story last night:
From what I gather that bit is true – someone(s) in the group left flyers in the toilet (the restroom to USians, not the plumbing fixture itself) and pubs and restaurants in general do have rules against that and any other kind of solicitation.
Yes how dare they not meekly accept being thrown out of a pub because the employees dislike their opinions. (Punishment for leaving flyers in the loo isn’t ejection, it’s being told it’s not allowed.)
Yes so entitled – what a nerve. Much like these terrible people, yes?
Greensboro Woolworths lunch counter, February 1 1960.
He needs to be fired.
It would be interesting to have a video of their ‘disruptive’ behavior and shouting. In my experience, the moment women begin disobeying men, they are often referred to as shouting.
Normal?
Thanks again to the miracle of “social” media, we can all enjoy the musings and fantasies of these self impressed, feeble minded, hateful, peurile creeps. Talk about arrested development; it looks to me like more than half the population never outgrew preadolescence.
The leaflets thing is absurd. You might leave leaflets advertising anything – a gig or whatever – and the staff would probably just quietly dump them in the bin.
“…the bartender is always right…” — Bullshit. The customer is always right, stupid. Bartenders are friendly noodles who dispense ethanol to booze swillers. The successful ones are not haughty zealots.
The sad thing is, I can think of leaflets whose presence would cause me to want the leafleters ejected. Proud Boys type leaflets – ones promoting real violence, not the figurative kind, and racism and hatred of immigrants and all the rest of it. People who genuinely are dangerous and scary. I don’t know if I would have the right to demand their ejection, but I can grok wanting it. Feminist women, not so much.
It was pointed out elsewhere that the fact he had to explain to other patrons what was happening makes it clear there was no actual disruption, or misbehaviour. Others pointed out that any such activity would have been captured on phones and posted widely.
As someone on Twitter pointed out, it makes you terrified to think about the state of the staff toilets in there.
I know someone who was part of the group that was ejected. Hopefully we’ll get her account in time. I will tend to trust it more than Linda La Hughes’ version above, not least because if they really were causing trouble she’d be more likely to say “DAMN RIGHT we were causing trouble, here’s why” than deny it.
So did they make a deliberate decision to go into a weirdo bar? Not that they don’t deserve service, but it does muddy things a bit.
