Her favorite things
Arizona state Senator Wendy Rogers:
An Arizona Republican who called for a new presidential election in the state and the recall of President Joe Biden‘s electors has said she likes two famous Confederate generals but doesn’t like “traitors” to the U.S.
Yo! Confederate generals were traitors. Go back to school and learn what the Confederacy actually was.
Our culture is racist pancake mix and instant rice?
I did not know that.
Wow.
I wonder which side she would have rooted for at Sand Creek, Greasy Grass/Little Bighorn and Wounded Knee?
The sports team (who are not actually Indians), or its racist name? Well, there goes the “I like Indians” one.
And since you do like traitors to America, you are a proud, Pro-Trump Republican, and, I’m betting, a big fan of the January 6 attempted insurrection. If you had any self-awareness or shame you would spontaneously combust.
Yeah, not sure how it’s possible to say that the Confederacy wasn’t run by traitors, rebellion and secession being treason and all. I’m also not sure why that would be so difficult for people to grasp. This whole country exists because of treason. Every last one of those names at the bottom of the Declaration was a traitor to the crown. As Franklin says in 1776, “Oh, Mr. Dickinson, I’m surprised at you. You should know that rebellion is always legal in the first person, such as our rebellion. It is only in the third person, their rebellion, that it is illegal.”
I’ve just added this book to my “to read” list. Pretty sure it will be banned in Texas.

@guest #4 – I am waiting for the outcry about cancel culture from the usual suspects. Andrew Sullivan? No?
