As a charity CEO, I am concerned at the reputation damage this will cause to the third sector. It is clear the Commission no longer have rigorous safeguards and due diligence in place, I’m afraid this brings your authority into disrepute.

We need to stop normalising the term “gender critical” and refer to it only as transphobia. It is impossible to be critical about the existence and identity of a person or group of people. To do so is just hateful. It isn’t ‘educated debate’, it’s hate. Call it for what it is.

In legal theory, the transphobic hate group can be held to its notional purposes by complaining to/litigating against the Charity Commission. In reality, it has a small enforcement budget and its decision to register the group is likely to be a good guide to what it prioritises.

It might be worth grappling with thought that if the Charity Commission didn't agree with your claims that LGB Alliance are a genocidal hate-group funded by dark right wing money it might be because it's an outright lie.
