Don’t the TAs already hate him? What purpose does walking it back serve?
He’s much less likely than women to be invited to choke to death on girl dicks, but why take the chance? The messages do tend to clutter up one’s timeline, though.
Why does Dawkins do this again & again? – I am reminded of the misconception bruited about by people like Daniel Dennett & Douglas Hoftstader concerning the Sphex wasp, which was wrongly supposed to be a little machine unable to adapt to new circumstances and learn: when bringing a freshly killed cricket to the hole it has dug, it leaves the cricket, head pointing towards the hole (since otherwise cannot readily be dragged in) at the mouth of the hole, enters the hole, makes a quick check inside, and emerges again to drag the cricket in. If the cricket is moved a few centimetres from where she has put it, the wasp repeats her former behaviour exactly, and if the cricket is moved again, she repeats it again ad infinitum… Or so the story goes. In fact, individual wasps do catch on, and change their rigmarole. Dawkins seems unable to do as well as a wasp. Perhaps Dennett could use him as an example in his next book?
Off the main topic, I suppose, but I was saddened to learn that Tim Robinson, the English mathematician and cartographer who wrote some quite extraordinarily good books on the Aran islands & Connemara, died last year of Covid at the age of 85. He was a great writer. In one of his books he writes: ‘This “selfish gene” imagery is vicious, whatever the merits of the theory it aims to convey; it blurs the distinction between physical process and cultural behaviour, lending a shred of scientific authority to those who would excuse if not commend self-seeking as a rule of nature.’
“Holding the same position as someone on one issue” does not constitute “allying with someone”.
Sometimes people decried as “bigots” are right about something.
Maybe they threatened to take away his little jar of honey. Again.
As if the TRAs don’t have a long habit of playing the guilt-by-association card.

I bet that he wishes that he could go back to the days of surreptitiously palming the blessed Host at mass.

Another mathematician who died from Covid-19, almost exactly a year ago, was John Conway, the inventor of the Game of Life.
If you oppose Hitler, you’re a dupe of Stalin.
If you stand up for women’s rights in the Islamosphere, you’re an anti-immigrant racist.
If you mention the existence of Jessica Yaniv or Karen White, you’re causing an avalanche of suicides.
We just have to get over this nonsense.
