I had to read part of it again, because I thought it said he was drawing applesauce from the crowd. It would be as sane to give him applesauce as to give him applause…more sane, probably.
It took me a while to realise (I believe this is right, please tell me if not) that that photo is taken at Trump’s super-special club, with his super special rich elite paying members–is that true? Because to me it looks like a classic slice of Middle America meeting in some VFW hall in Missouri or something.
Super special rich people don’t actually look all that super special rich – especially in their play clothes. Like that guy in the foreground gripping the chair, in his UGLEEE short pants or long shorts – not a good look. But these are super special rich TRUMP FANS, so that’s a particular kind of filter. I suspect never-Trump Republicans are a little less likely to be seen in public in ugly-ass long shorts. Could be wrong, but that’s my suspicion.
I mean, uh, I guess I’m going to try to not be judgmental about what people look like…but they all just look so uncomfortable in their own skins. I’d have thought the elite would be a little less susceptible to that. But what do I know, obviously.
Also, Trump has suggested that his image be carved into Mt Rushmore, not doubt in his own mind to provide uplifting and inspiring contrast with the other four lesser US political identities sculpted into the rock there.
I, though not a US citizen would be in favour of that, provided Trump was shown wearing an ape suit and swinging from the branch of a tree, with his free hand grabbing whatever was handy.
Every single time I think America has reached peak stupid, Trump proves me wrong.
He’s always got more stupid.

He’s like a TARDIS of stupid.

Yep that’s correct.

Walter Schaub has been having fun with that photo on Twitter this morning.
OK that was pretty funny. A couple of those captions were spot-on.

YNNB – permission to use the phrase “TARDIS of stupid” at will?
