Person, woman, man
Ummm…
Donald Trump, the president of the United States, has insisted that a cognitive test he took recently was “difficult”, using the example of a question in which the patient is asked to remember and repeat five words.
“Person, woman, man, camera, TV,” Trump explained, saying that listing the words in order was worth “extra points”, and that he found the task easy.
He said it to a man-person standing in front of him, facing a camera for a tv shoot. I don’t know if there was a woman within view – he may have come up with that one all by himself. “Man” and “person” are pretty broad hints though.
“They said nobody gets it in order, it’s actually not that easy. But for me it was easy. And that’s not an easy question,” he told Fox News medical analyst and New York University professor of medicine Marc K Siegel.
Um. Yes it is. Even if you can’t see any of the five words it’s an easy question. It’s a dementia test, not a college entrance exam.
But for the full effect you have to watch the clip. Oh god oh god oh god.
Especially the part toward the end where he says they gotta test Joebiden, they gotta, he’s gotta deal with RUSSHA, there’s something going on there.
Trump went on to explain the test, saying that after several questions, the doctor returned to the list of words, asking Trump to repeat them. “And you go, ‘person, woman, man, camera, TV.’ They say, ‘That’s amazing. How did you do that?’ ‘I do it because I have like a good memory? Because I’m cognitively there.’”
They don’t. They don’t say that. They don’t say “that’s amazing.” They don’t say that because it’s not amazing. And that’s for a real test, not one that names 5 (or 4) items a few inches in front of Trump’s face. It’s not amazing to be able to recall 5 words. It’s neutral. The inability to do so is a sign of impairment.
Also, Trump hesitated even over the list of things in front of his face.
NOW can we invoke the 25th????
It may be a case of context. They may have said that they had A DIFFICULT time convincing his advisors to allow him to take the TEST and that it was AMAZING THAT a chimp as inarticulate as HE COULD RECALL 5 WORDS IN ORDER without going off on a tangent about some perceived wrong or some other batshit topic.
Something like that maybe.
@#1:
Yes, President Batshit can recall five words in order.! And I am sure if asked nicely he could write all five out in his BIG BEST WRITING all bigly in a book and proudly hold it up for everyone to see what he did ALL BY HIMSELF.!
And could do again provided he was asked nicely and was not distracted by something he might incline to grab.
And the 25th Amendment would be the same as 5 doses of the fifth amendment because 5 x 5 = 25, and he will invoke the fifth the moment he walks into court, or even when he just steps out into the street.. Take it as read. Bigly.
It’s a wonder he has not got a sign to that effect (done by himself ALL BY HIMSELF..!) hanging round his neck at all times, just so everyone knows.
Reminds me of this:

I am finding it more and more hilarious that he’s legitimately impressed with himself for passing a dementia screening. Does nobody in his inner circle clue him in that he’s embarrassing himself? It’s probably too late now, since he’s gone all in with his claim that this was a tremendous accomplishment, and he’d be apt to lash out at anyone that challenges that narrative.
I hope he keeps telling this story right until he’s voted out of office.
“…But then when you go back about 20 25 minutes later, and they say go back to go back to that ques- they don’t tell you this, they say go back to that question and repeat them”
Even if we buy into his cheese-brain recollection of the test, if part of the test is to surprise people with that callback, Trump just ruined it publicly. Good job, you fucking clownshoes.
Holmes, does the test even take 25 minutes from beginning to end, let alone between those two questions? Looking at it I would have thought not. That Trump says it does suggests either that he had to be nursed through the test or he has very poor recollection, both of which are concerning.
To be fair it’s all over the internet that They Don’t Tell You.
When I saw the title to this post, I thought it would be about trans. Silly me, it’s Trump reciting words a three year old could remember.
…a three year old could remember ESPECIALLY WHILE LOOKING RIGHT AT A MAN AND A TV CAMERA.
