To both groups, female trauma is white noise
Rowling has thoughts on Lloyd Russell-Moyle.
She can multiply those 3k emails by a large number, I should think, on the grounds that most of us refrained from emailing her because we figured she would be buried in the avalanche.
If he does dig deeper he’ll find there’s nothing there – slogans are all there is. Bad, stupid, meaningless slogans are all there is.
He should thank the gods that he got off so lightly.
And if you click through to the thread on Twitter, be sure to read the exchange between JKR and Jana Cornel. It did my heart a world of good. Courage calls to courage indeed!
J. K. Rowling has gone from being someone I barely noticed to being one of my favorite people in a matter of just a couple of weeks.
@iknklast Me too. Unfortunately(?) I won’t touch twitter with a ten foot pole, so I can’t keep up with what is happening there.
Harald, I know. I do not have a Twitter account. I get my exposure to JKR here…and almost all my exposure to Twitter is here, and other news sites, especially those that carry saturation coverage of the man who thinks the presidency is just another cool reality show meant to get him high ratings.
You don’t need a twitter account to keep track of twitter goings-on. I don’t have one. All I do is bookmark feeds I find worth checking out, like those of the podcasters I listen to. It’s a safer way to handle twitter, because not having an account means that I can’t indulge my SIWOTI syndrome.
Too true. Especially since only like 2% of the population is active on twitter, and only another 20% even have an account.
So it looks like Graham Linehan has been banned by twitter. I wonder how many TRA’s have been banned.
@twiliter, I think the best proof that MAWT is that men can’t be banned for threatening violence against women, only for doubting a man’s fantasy.
Well, I have just binge-read the first 50 instalments of The Ickabog; and very enjoyable they are. I’m really glad there were 50 available when I started reading, because […spoilers deleted].
I have been reading The Ickabog for some weeks, now, and it is sheer torture waiting even overnight for the next few chapters, let alone over the weekend. Only a few hours to go.
Re “[…spoilers deleted]” Hahahahahahahaha!
