This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules about glorifying violence
But last night Trump finally did push it hard enough that Twitter semi-removed one of his tweets. They’ve veiled it behind the message
This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules about glorifying violence. However, Twitter has determined that it may be in the public’s interest for the Tweet to remain accessible. Learn more

What does it say? Oh nothing much, just that he wants “the Military” to shoot people who are “looting” in Minneapolis.
….These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!
Yes he really cares passionately about the memory of George Floyd.
Nah, he just wants to order “the Military” to shoot black people.
He preceded the “shooting starts” tweet with another hello this is literal fascism one:
Another day another horror show.
He seems to assume Walz wants the military to do this…I wonder what Walz says about that?
Still a soft measure by twitter, and it still puts so called “elected and government officials” in some elite category where they don’t have their drivel removed entirely or get banned from the platform. A move in the right direction but not enough, the rules should apply to all. I really don’t know what Donnie Dipshit is complaining about, most people would consider that a pass, and preferential treatment. It’s the same old story, cops being above the law, government officials being above the law, the chosen whites being above the law, etc. It’s high time for the playing field to be levelled, and I think the continuation of this polarizing and division of people is going to have dire consequences when it comes to a head, and the pandemic will seem very trivial by contrast. It’s getting ugly and it’s being propagated by the ugliest leader in history. If Donnie Dipshit doesn’t stop escalating these personal conflicts he’s having with everyone, the shit will hit the fan.
Twitter had to add that little caveat too, because they were in violation of their own previous rule violation protocol without it. Not that they enforce anything fairly anyway.
Not to mention the tweet itself, he could resolve the situation with a phone call to the MN AG, or the Minneapolis DA, and request they be charged with murder, I’m sure they would comply. But why do that when he has an opportunity to blame the Democrats or threaten a military solution and escalate it in to a huge politically charged violent battle? But that’s Donnie’s MO, why do things with common sense and cooperation, when you can politicize them, further polarize people, and threaten wield the might of the US military against it’s own citizens?
I’m actually surprised that Twitter had the courage to push back even this amount.
