Wisdom isn’t quite the right word
Hold the phone – women can get periods!
Who knew?
Yes, we know, because “trans guys” are women, and “non-binary people” are people and some people are women.
Maybe this whole thing is just a movement of people who long to be teachers but don’t want the grind of teaching second grade, so they make shit up in order to “teach” us it.
It really does seem like they believe words are magic. Like, if a female claims the magic word-label “trans man” or “non-binary” that makes her no longer female, and since she’s not female, it’s somehow interesting that she might have a period.
Abracatransda!
Well you see if there’s enough bullying to go along with the words then the words do become magic. What I tell you three times is true.
And of course, it is again related to women. Periods! Men can have periods too! Women aren’t special, unique, or oppressed!
Women generating sperm? Yeah, they believe that, of course, but they don’t spend ink insisting that the men accept that. They do seem to think women need to accept that, though. So we can let sperm-producing people take over all the women’s spaces, just like they already control all the men’s spaces.
It’s a wonder that they haven’t noticed that this is a thing that tracks really well with being female.
From Lady Mondegreen:
Yes, of course, because periods are about being moody. Right. It’s not about losing the lining of your uterus because you did not implant a fertilized egg, and your body does not need the lining. It’s not about preparing a cycle for the next phase. Nope. It’s about being moody. Except it’s not. Period =/= moody. Period = biological state.
I suppose some people get moody at their period. It isn’t necessarily a part of it. (I never did; I’m just moody as a regular part of my persona, and most the women I know who claimed PMS were moody all the time, so we tended to roll our eyes when they attributed it to PMS…every week of the year…which isn’t to dismiss those women who suffer severe symptoms.) A small percentage of women suffer severe symptoms; some women suffer a great deal. BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT CONSTITUTES A PERIOD.
My brother gets weird food cravings all the time. And he’s irritable. And has to visit the restroom often. And is fatigued like every day. And avoids certain foods.
He must be pregnant!
Wait. Hm.
Maybe all that’s because he’s a bodybuilder who drinks a lot of water, works out a couple hours a day, and has a regimented meal plan.
Nah, must be pregnancy.
