Unpopular opinion: I think it’s pretty funny that “the reason for the season” is expressed by Hillary exclaiming “Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!” In the clip. It’s an old clip, and she wasn’t hurt.
A lot of people seem to have missed the point, thinking “the reason for the season” is harming the Clintons or something.
Gosar is a horrible person, so I get why people are apt to misunderstand the joke or not find it funny if they do understand it. I think this same joke presented by someone less reprehensible would have gone over better.
The guy could have gone with any of a million other ways of expressing “Jesus, Mary and Joseph” in a tweet, but he went with a clip where something unlucky and startling happened to someone they loathe. Come on man, subtext.
I’m hopeful that when I move in a few years to Gosar’s district (Prescott, AZ) that he won’t be representing it. I’d be fine with registering as a Republican to vote for his opponent in the primary, and if the 2020 census draws a less friendly district for Republicans, a Democrat in the general election. Gosar’s insulting behavior doesn’t deserve a seat in the U.S. House.
The best that can be said about this is that
(1) People are really taking Gosar to task over this.
(2) It confirms exactly why his siblings hate him.
(3) For all Bill’s faults, his first instinct was to protect Hillary.
Ahhhh, the party of “family values” strikes again.

“Unpopular” isn’t the right word for that opinion. “Absurd” would be closer.
Nobody “missed the point.” We know it’s an old clip (OBVIOUSLY) and we know she wasn’t hurt. That doesn’t make the tweet ok.
Or is this just satire? Am I being credulous? You can’t be THAT literal-minded, can you?
