Public con artist
Also McKinnon:
The first item in his Twitter profile is “World Champion Cyclist.” But he’s a “World Champion Cyclist” only because he cheated in order to race with women even though he’s a man. He’s not really a “World Champion Cyclist.”
He’s not a public intellectual, either. He’s a public bullshitter and fraud and bully.
He’s pretending to be indignant because people who object to his cheating object to his cheating:
Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves. They’ve had to disable the live chat on the live feed for the world championships because transphobic bigots took over and wouldn’t stop. But I *am* glad they acted and disabled the chat, because it was a horrific mess.
He’s stealing prizes from women and people object to that. The horrific mess is inside the house.
Declaring yourself a public intellectual is kind of a dead giveaway that you’re not a public intellectual, that you have to call yourself a pubic intellectual because no one else is going to call you a public intellectual.
Silly iknklast, he identifies as a public intellectual. Therefore…
But seriously though – yeah. In my profile I state just a few verifiable facts plus the self-identification “blogger” – which I think is sort of the opposite of self-glorifying since bloggers are seen as somewhat absurd. I thought it best to own the absurdity. I’ll answer to a few titles like kvetch, whiner, grouch, but nothing more grandiose.
DOCTOR McKinnon (you keep forgetting the honorific, Ms. Benson) was born in 1982, but uses that cartoon picture which seems so, well, juvenile. It reminds me of Mark Z who, after he founded FB, stopped maturing in thought.
He’s no feminist either.
Clamboy @#4:
What is that cartoon depicting? It’s almost like a comic Breughel, it’s so busy and loaded with stuff. I’m afraid I’m not up on the symbolism.
I very much included that ridiculous cartoon-thing in the screengrab on purpose. While rolling my eyes.
Well, that’s the performance of a toxic feminine norm. Even adult females are childlike and innocent and need male guidance. Hence cutesy, cartoon characters. It’s not about being a woman; it’s about embracing oppressive gender norms.
Which, of course, merely strengthens the observation that transwomen are not helping the feminist cause.
It’s a purple haired witch / 魔法少女 (mahou shoujo) and a fox.
tHoUgHt LeAdEr!
Pretty much every transwoman I’ve ever seen on the internet uses some sort of anime-esque (or My Little Pony) avatar… if you see an avatar like that on a traditionally male-oriented message board (videogames/wargaming/RPGs) you’re probably seeing a transwoman.
I traditionally use cartoon robots as avatars so I can’t judge too much.
It’s interesting that, as always, he makes it about himself. He’s glad that they “shut down the chat” because he disapproved of the content, but he doesn’t say a thing about it being HIS PRESENCE in the race, cheating, that drew the complaints that he disliked–and which ended up ruining the experience for fans of the actual/real women racing. Someone with honor would never have cheated his way into the race in the first place, but now that he’s there, he could have at least apologized for his presence fucking up the sporting experience for the fans, rather than petulantly griping.
The cringe factor of watching him so desperately trying to make a “brand” for himself is getting hard to watch. Look! A toy stuffed fox sticking out his crotch because he thinks he is foxy! Look! The “sports is a human right” all lives matter slogan which means nothing. Look! The pink hair and cartoon images because that is what being a woman is all about. OK, gotta stop now before I throw up.
Always with the anime profile pics.
Even if it were true that Rachel McKinnon is “legally and medically” female (I expect that medically, he is a eunuch, not a female), he is still biologically and ethically male.
Sorry dude. Everybody is happy to let consenting adults engage in whatever sex fetish they want to, but don’t bring us into it.
Or is he glad it was disabled (a tad ableist there, doctor) because he was in danger of being forced to do a little self-reflection?
It’s funny how so many TRA’s are narcissists.
Almost as if it’s like shit to a fly.
From Anne Lawrence’s essay, “Shame & Narcissistic Rage in Autogynephilic Transsexualism” (PDF link):
Very interesting essay.
(Essay? Article. I meant article, not essay. Anne Lawrence isn’t in middle school, ha! Wake up, Arty. I need another cuppa tea.)
Long quote, but the whole thing is interesting.
Interesting indeed.
