You cannot count how many genders there are
Second and last item from This Angry Inclusive Enby Lesbian aka Taiel: a list of his opinions on all the subjects:
There is no such thing as narcissistic abuse. Your abuse was and is real; but arm-chair diagnosing your abuser is not okay. Abuse comes from abusers, not mental illness. Your personal trauma is valid but it is never okay to stigmatise and demonise the cluster-B disorders such as Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Call it what it was – sophisticated abuse, emotional abuse, gaslighting, physical abuse or whichever it was. But there is no form of abuse perpetuated only by NPD folks or any other neurotype.
Yes well he would be very defensive of people with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, wouldn’t he.
There are more than two genders. There are more than three genders. Some people have more than one gender. You cannot count how many genders there are.
Gender is too tall for you to measure, too small for you to see, too infinite for you to count, too specific for you to generalize about, too sacred for you to profane, too profane for you to sanctify………….
Not all genders fall somewhere in between male and female. The gender binary is false, don’t force people into it.
Ok so what exactly is gender? What’s he talking about when he talks about gender? I have a feeling he couldn’t define it if you asked him.
Any and all folks on the asexual and/or aromantic spectra are inherently part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
And they can’t get out!
The only requirement for being trans is being a gender other than what was assigned to you at birth. Dysphoria is not required. Neither is a desire for HRT, surgery or other physical change. Our lives and identities are not defined by pain.
And gender is anything and everything, so…everybody is trans, so being trans is the same as being a living human, so we can all forget about it and go back to what we were doing before. That will be nice.
Butch and femme are not exclusive to lesbians and to claim such erases their history of usage by POC.
What? What did POC use them to mean if not lesbians?
Not all lesbians are mono-homosexual. Not all lesbians are women. Any nonman seen being or known to be sexually, romantically or otherwise nonplatonically affectionate with nonmen may have had the term lesbian or a related slur applied to them regardless of actual gender or spectrum of attractions. As such, nonmen who are also non-women and attracted to other nonmen can reclaim this term and related slurs. We are not erasing mono-homosexual lesbian women, you are valid. But this is our term too.
Good luck not losing the thread in that forest of nons.
Fascists don’t deserve safety. They should feel as frightened to spread their hate speech as they make black trans women feel just walking out of their homes. TERFs and SWERFs are fascists too. There can be no tolerance for the intolerant.
So we should be killed on sight, is that the idea?
The last item of all is probably the one he loves the most.
Feminism is for everyone, not just women. Feminists can be anyone, not just women. Feminist issues affect many folk, not just women.
Yeah. Stupid greedy women, trying to keep feminism all for themselves. Bitches.
Wtf are women thinking, wanting a movement for themselves?
Isn’t ‘SWERF ‘n’ TERF’ a meal of steak and seafood?
From what I can make out, “gender” must mean “ personality.” So of course there are more than two. And no, I can’t count them because I have no time or interest in counting up to approximately 7.7 billion ( according to the World Population Clock.)
I do not know then what gender I was assigned at birth. I didn’t cry, my Mom told me. I’ll have to ask her what everyone present extrapolated from that.
“Lesbian” is a slur?
As for his screed on “gender”, he’s got a point if he’s talking about grammatical gender cross-linguistically. But I don’t think he is.
So, if Adam is an “assigned male at birth” person with a penis who generally presents as male but has culturally atypical interests such as liking musical theatre and hating sports, Adam can be nonbinary and therefore a nonman. As can Adam’s partner, Steve.
Which makes Adam and Steve lesbians?
Since pretty much 100% of all men who grew up in North America were called “gay” and referred to by anti-gay slurs (“That shirt you’re wearing is so gay. You’re still on your third beer? Drink up, you f*****!”), this now means that all hetero dudes are entitled to “reclaim” the term and start tossing it around? You… might want to rethink that.
My day job involves developing and training of an AI-driven health record and system. The AI is able to include a much larger list of active variables in its analysis than a human can. Subtle variations in disease prevalence among ethnic groups, age groups, interactions and long-term consequences of medication as well as variations in clinical presentation. One area we leverage is the role of gender in both incidence and presentation of illness. There are substantial variations in how many illnesses affect XX vs XY genotypes for example. Of course there are exceptions such as XY patients with testicular feminization for example, but these are exceptions. No personal choices are involved in these variations nor are these variations the work of TERFs the patriarchy or any other group. They simply, factually exist. Women don’t choose to present with fatigue and insomnia as signs of CAD any more than men choose classic angina. It simply is. For those that need a reminder, there are differences.
The AI has a rudimentary form of bedside manner that allows it to vary its interactions with users based on social determinants of disease and personality profiling. Gender identity is one such factor the AI uses in that way. Understanding these issues makes the system more useful to people, but disease is disease and these distinctions have not as yet been shown to impact clinical decision-making. Unless the person has had surgical alterations or is taking medications that affect their physiology gender identity does not affect the system’s diagnostic processes which are based on genotype, physiology, prior surgery and medications primarily.
I bring this up because it’s another concrete example of real differentiation beyond rhetoric.
Your choices can be respected. Your choices can be protected. But physiology is unaffected.
2S? What about the people with 3-spirit gender? Or 4? So limiting…
I like this one.
Let me count how many times he corrects language in this single post. … Twenty-seven times, give or take. Jesus. What a retarded—
Twenty-eight.
Hell yes. For a certain type of person. If a women doesn’t want to have sex with a man*, the only possible reason for such an outrage would be that they are a lesbian. Being a lesbian is bad, because they don’t want to have sex with men*. A lesbian who refuses to recognise that the man trying to have sex with them is really a woman trying to have sex with them and therefore is also a lesbian is an especially bad lesbian because how dare she not want to have sex with a
woman. Clear?* Of course, if a woman does want to have sex with a man then she’s a slut. Ha Bitches!
Taiel has been very busy deleting all comments that express any disagreement, and just recently put up a post celebrating the death of Magdalen Berns – of course. Never mind that, in one of her videos, Berns specifically and forcefully called out male violence against trans women sex workers.
This is quite a tell about men claiming to be lesbians:
Why not ‘…attracted to other nonmen or to nonmen who are also non-women? Because it’s obvious that in this instance ‘nonmen’ are women and ‘nonmen who are also non-women’ are men playing at being women.Taiel is happy to call himself a lesbian but I’d bet the fortune I don’t have that the lesbians he’s interested in are not other ‘nonmen who are also non-women’. His dick might be a ‘girl-dick’, but he’s a lesbian, dammit, not a gay /bi man or het/bi nonman, and he wants nonmen, not non-women nonmen.
Funny, really, how the only people allowed to be picky about the genitals of their sexual partners are the very same people who tell everybody else that being picky about genitals is bigotry.
Yes, and every English teacher out there is a classist bigot. As am I, since I insist on grading spelling and grammar on my tests. Because the people that hire our students don’t want to hire them if they can’t communicate. But I’m the ableist, classist, racist bigot.
Is it just me, or does “swearing might not be classy” sound classist to other people? At least enough so that it seems a poor choice of words for someone decrying classism?
“BLM is for everyone, not just black people. BLM activists can be anyone, not just women. BLM issues affect many folk, not just black people.”
Go on, try it.
And, what the fuck is with the proliferation of ‘folk’?
The only “nonmen who are also non-women” in any sense are intersexed people, and as much as you try to co-opt their cause, trans and intersex unrelated categories. One category refers to people born with incomplete or mixed expression of sex traits, and is therefore biological; the other refers to people with a normal sex state who wish they had been born as / identify as / [etc., there are many phrasings] the other sex, and is therefore psychological.
Also, why did non-women get a hyphen, but not nonmen? Sloppy writing most likely.
“There can be no category exclusive to biological females that we will not co-opt.”

TRAs are making a big stink out of the fact that feminists and conservatives are finding common ground (in that both agree that woman=female adult and man=male adult), calling it proof that gender critical feminism is really just conservatism.
Meanwhile, isn’t it interesting that the outrage at lesbians you note comes from two sources: woke men calling themselves women who feel entitled to women’s bodies on that basis, and incels.
Trans women are the left’s incels.
So true. And they are also the left’s MRAs and PUAs.
I’m reading an intriguing (but depressing) book on the psychology of male abusers (Lundy Bancroft’s ‘Why Does He do That?’) and many of these TRAs fit the bill way too well. Like many flavors of male abuser they co-opt the language of mental health, therapy, and pop psychology as a weapon against their partners and critics. TRAs also weaponize their minority status to control their partners and critics, a trait they share in common with homosexual male abusers.
I would think that when most people tell mr taiel that he’s engaging in narcissistic abuse they are being figurative rather than actually diagnosing him, so it’s a tell that he immediately jumps to psycho-babble and accusations of armchair diagnoses. Of course he’s wrong that there’s no such thing as narcissistic abuse-narcissists abuse all the time due to their extreme entitlement. It isn’t required to have NPD to be an abuser, although NPD exacerbates abusive behavior and makes self-improvement far less likely (based on what I’ve seen and read, at least).
I would also like to point out that “narcissism” is a word that pre-dates psychiatry and the bloody goddamn DSM and even, if I’m not mistaken, the English language itself. Just because psychiatrists take ordinary English words and make Capitalized Personality Disorders out of them so that it sounds sciencey enough for insurance companies to pay for, doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t use those words in their original contexts.
The above rant notwithstanding, I’m not anti-psychiatry. I don’t doubt that both pharmaceuticals and talk therapy have saved and improved lives. And I’m sure some insights from the psychiatric literature can inform the way we think about other people. I just don’t like the way that psych jargon has taken over ordinary conversation: I don’t like it when people try to borrow that jargon to elevate ordinary opinions about someone, and I don’t like it when people try to police ordinary opinions as being “diagnosing” or “ableist.”
Raises hand. Yes, mine.
And almost all education theory. It’s all psychobabble now. But boy, if the educator turns out to have some sort of legitimate psychiatric diagnosis, the administration will do everything possible to destroy them.
