They might be giants
This is a must-watch from the WPUK Fair Play event yesterday.
Excellent video from one of the women who competed against Rachel McKinnon.
She’s an athlete and orthopaedic surgeon & examined evidence informing IOC rules. https://t.co/2lacfdsYq2— Amy Eileen Hamm (@preta_6) July 10, 2019
She’s the one on McKinnon’s left.
I think she was very kind to the trans athletes in saying it is not their fault. I can’t be so generous on that, because it is obviously their fault. The IOC didn’t just all wake up one morning and say let’s change the rules. There were tremendous pressures from the transathletes and other trans activists on this topic, and anyone who questioned Rachel McKinnon was subjected to a major Twitter abuse storm from McKinnon, not from the IOC. The transathletes are leading this fight, and giving all the blame to the people who have bowed under the intense pressure is probably inaccurate.
But I know she doesn’t want to be a bigot or have to deal with the crap she has had to deal with again. Being generous to transathletes probably won’t gain her that peace, but maybe it will give her peace of mind that she did nothing to deserve the crap she gets.
I agree, IKN.
Unfortunately, while I understand why she’s doing it, it’s not true. It is the fault of knowing, narcissistic ‘trans women.’
And all her soft qualifications will not save her. She won’t be given any credit for being nice.
Yep, she’s going to be damned either way. May as well be forthright.
