Lock her up, lock her up
I can still be shocked.

The person said:
However Meghan Murphy, a Vancouver resident, still has not been prosecuted for her hate crimes. In the meantime she has booked a hate rally at the VPL…
Meghan has booked a talk at the Vancouver Public Library. She has committed no hate crimes. The guy who told those lies about her at a city council meeting however is Jonathan Yaniv, who sued women who declined to wax his genitalia.
Updating to add:
Jonathan Yaniv aka Jessica…
Yaniv also asked whether or not it would be appropriate for him to discuss tampon usage with a ten-year-old.
Just to bond with her over period stuff.
(These are probably out of order.)

jesus h christ. my local trans woman long ago asked me if I thought it would be good to carry a supply of tampons, as 1) camouflage and 2) helpful to other women. I said that in my life I never checked anyone’s purse for tampons and also never had reason to ask for one as a gift. And that was that. But it was a bit of info about the characteristics of women that women know and others don’t know. sigh.
Yes the more loony wing talk about women’s changing rooms and restrooms as romantic places where we hang out and drop a few hours gossiping, when in reality they’re nasty utilitarian places to get out of as fast as possible.
Wow. I’m trying to figure out if there’s some context that would excuse all that, but… wow.
Put aside for a moment the trans aspect, this person is showing (or feigning) ignorance of basic social boundaries. First, you don’t gawk at other people’s bodies in locker rooms, and you certainly don’t comment on any details you notice, especially not in the genital areas, whether it’s tampon strings or foreskins or pubic hair or whatever. (I thought only us non-woke-cis people were “obsessed with other people’s genitals”?) Second, you don’t take it upon yourself to educate ten-year-old children you don’t know on intimate aspects of their bodies. Even if you’re a trusted aunt/uncle/friend, such things are best left to the parents. I suspect that the average woman goes her entire life without even once being approached by a young girl having her first period and asked for tampon insertion instructions.
I mean, this just strikes me as basic etiquette that even those of us who are (or were raised as) men know. (Commenting on another man’s penis in a locker room is… inadvisable, shall we say?) And all this stuff about “bonding” in the ladies’ room just reads like an adolescent boy’s fantasy of what women do in their locker room — “yeah, dude, I bet they totally prance around naked and compare boobs and stuff! I saw this video once….”
I’m hardly an expert on social interaction, but even I know that, if you’re really in doubt about to behave in an unfamiliar setting, shutting up and taking your cue from others works pretty well.
“You the political leaders of Langley are elected to represent everybody. You have a civic duty and responsibility to ensure that everyone has access to the services they need.”
Except feminists looking for a speaking venue.
Screechy – all that and then some. I must be sheltered but I never even experienced locker rooms where people got naked. And no, girls learning the how-tos of tampon insertion DO NOT want assistance from random strangers in a restroom. This is all absolutely weird pervy voyeuristic male fantasy shit.
Could there be a better example of the delusional nature of trans ideology than Yaniv’s ‘I think my period is going to start on Wednesday..’?
Delusion aside, everything else contained in the links from Lady M.’s comment scream ‘sexual predator’; this is a man who should not be allowed anywhere near women or girls. So many times we hear transwomen claim to be the victims of violence from women in public toilets and changing rooms, but if what Yaniv describes is indicative of the behaviour of transwomen then what the fuck do they expect?
This guy is just plain looking for an opportunity to groom young girls. Whether that’s just for a wildly inappropriate ‘friendship’ or for more sinister purposes I don’t know, but jeesus fucking hell, they should not be allowed anywhere near girls or women who are in a vulnerable position (semi)naked, alone or otherwise compromised.
Jeeeeeeeeeeezus, Yaniv is skeevy as all hell.

To be fair, this actually works *better* for my own personal schedule, so there’s that. But still >:/
