Illegal?
Trump’s distraction for today:

Uh huh, he’s going to force Google to put Fox News at the top of all searches. That should go well.
The Lizard People must have got to DuckDuckGo as well, because their search results seem to contain an awful lot of bad news about Trump as well.
Recursively, this is one of the top results: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/aug/28/donald-trump-google-news-service-is-rigged-against-me
That makes up for all the hotel lobbies, at least within driving distance of where I live, which all seem to be set permanently to Fox News. (I did see one on the golf channel temporarily this summer; even Home Shopping Network would be preferable to Fox News).
Trying to find honest-to-goodness “good news” about Trump would be like trying to find one particular extra-special hydrogen molecule in an entire galaxy.
He is mortal. That’s good news.
So there’s your hydrogen molecule. You can stop looking now.
I just Googled (Trump news). The 4th entry was to Fox’s twitter feed. Either they weren’t shutting out Fox very effectively or they’ve already responded by tweaking the algorithm. We shall see.
I would go with the former.
People (and especially the news media) need to stop using the conservative label to describe anyone in the Trump administration/wingnutosphere in general; it’s irresponsible to do so. It adds insult to injury in the already egregious “balance” problem.
Liberal might well be the opposite of conservative, but it isn’t the opposite of Nazi and/or bloody lunacy.
@BKiSA #6 – that reminds me of an aphorism I saw recently, pointing out that fascism is not conservative, but it is anti-liberal.
I think reactionary would be a better term. Wanting to take things back to feudal society is definitely reactionary, and fits most of those called “conservative” today. The old style conservatives had some bad ideas, yes, but they weren’t interested in breaking everything and taking all the toys.
Well what provoked that?
I just google it. First hit: Stormy Daniels tells Vogue about 2 minute Trump.
The Republicans are now using Trump’s (probably) false and (definitely) unevidenced claim that the search results are skewed to raise funds. “The liberals are trying to silence us, so give us more money!”
