Unanimous consent
Shameful that it’s needed.
JUST IN: US Senate passes resolution with unanimous consent by voice vote that “affirms that the press is not the enemy of the people” and “reaffirms the vital and indispensable role that the free press serves” and “condemns the attacks on the institution of the free press.” pic.twitter.com/uK8DvhsXie

Well, good for them. Is Trump now going to declare the entire Senate enemies of the state?
@iknklast I wouldn’t joke about that, especially if the Democrats manage to retake control in November.
It seems kind of pointless to be honest. What does it achieve, exactly? Mitch McConnell will tell Trump it’s all window dressing for the election and not to worry about it. Trump himself is too busy tying himself in knots about Omarosa to pay much attention anyway. (Did you hear he wants Jeff Sessions to order her arrest?)
As cynical as it is hypocritical.
I don’t know – with Trump being the narcissist he is, it’s a very direct poke in the eye. It may not make anything happen, but at least for once they’ve put it on the record that he’s full of shit.
I’m heartened, not by the action itself, but by the fact that Droopy McConnell and crew felt it was necessary at all. Sure, it’s utterly hypocritical, but it’s hypocrisy committed out of fear–which, with these assholes, is a good thing.
Yes, that too. Or instead. Not that it’s a sudden access of conscience but that it’s a crack in the foundation and that Trump will see it as a deadly insult.

Nah, he’ll declare them the deep state. Get it right!
Sorry, Holms, I didn’t study last night…the dog ate my homework…Grandma cleaned and threw my homework in the trash…I forgot there was going to be a test…anyway, can I make it up next week?
