He says it. He says it.

Holy Shit. I don’t care what anyone says. No decent human being can vote for that man. Don’t give me any more shit about how his supporters are misunderstood, disadvantaged, marginalised or whatever. You can be all those things (which frankly I don’t think they generally are) and still be a decent human being.
What’s the next stage of his solution going to be I wonder? He’s expressing dissatisfaction with catch and release…
It’s a holy shit moment.
It’s awful when what seemed like exaggerations in 2015 are reality by 2018:
Not that Trump’s followers need much encouragement to be assholes, but…damn, this is scary.
Rob,
Well, we can eliminate one ‘solution’, Trump is never going to order US border-patrol forces to actually shoot refugees, is he?
RJW, would we put money on him not having asked the question? I mean, after all, they’re only animals.
Rob,
I wonder to whom he would ask the question, I hope it isn’t Bibi.
At least we can stop asking how so many ordinary Germans could sit by and allow Hitler to drive them off the cliff. The answer then as now seems to be one concession at the time…
What I want to know is who were the people laughing at the end?
Reminds me of this:

Who is he referring to?
The spectacle continues. Maybe he was just given intel that evidence for Russian connections about to be public and he needed a diversion. Shameless coward.
Trump is a demagogue and a populist, who works his audience by alternately singing their praises and telling them how they have been cheated out of what’s rightfully theirs. Rome when I was there in 1974 was studded with Mussolini’s monuments to the glory and expanse of the ancient Roman Empire. Hitler’s appeal was to the ‘master race’ who had been done out of their rightful victory in WW1 by Jewish operators. (He personally was one such ‘victim’.)
Cut to the 1984 US election; Reagan vs Mondale. Reagan appealed to the ego of the voter, Mondale to the conscience. Reagan’s pitch worked far better.
Trump is ruthless: whatever it takes is the name of the game. He will ‘make America great again!’ Greatness is America’s manifest destiny. But his opponent is a crook, and should be in jail: a familiar trope to the student of fascism.
To the annoyance of Trump’s followers, it was the Vietnamese who gave America its first (disastrous) defeat in war, and it is the Chinese who are leaving America in their wake industrially and in world trade. Apparently downhill all the way from here, but not if Trump can help it. And then enter the latest heir to the throne in North Korea, right on cue, with his threat to America. Made to order. Could not have been better from Trump’s point of view. Easily dealt with, played for a sucker, with the home crowd lapping it up.
But one question remains: is America ready to junk its Constitution and its Founding Fathers, jackhammer Lincoln’s statue out of that temple in Washington and replace it with one of Trump, and head down a path to nuclear war? Because that is the logic inherent in Trump’s Reich.
