A historic world leader
Trump is feeling perky.
“Trump the orator outlines the greatness of America to Democrats’ disgust” https://t.co/XpirrtTY6V

The Moony paper calls him “Trump the orator” – because he read an address written by other people, from a teleprompter, slowly and with difficulty and not at all well. Some orator.
Also, applauding himself. Also Mussolini-face.
Rasmussen just announced that my approval rating jumped to 49%, a far better number than I had in winning the Election, and higher than certain “sacred cows.” Other Trump polls are way up also. So why does the media refuse to write this? Oh well, someday!

Funny how he always cites Rasmussen, which always has his numbers higher than anyone else.
This memo totally vindicates “Trump” in probe. But the Russian Witch Hunt goes on and on. Their was no Collusion and there was no Obstruction (the word now used because, after one year of looking endlessly and finding NOTHING, collusion is dead). This is an American disgrace!

Why the scare quotes on his own name? Is he saying he’s not real? Is he telling us he’s a myth or a political fiction? Is he signaling that he’s being held captive?
Why is he talking about himself in the third person?
Sad about “their” for “there,” especially when immediately followed by the [cough] alternate spelling.
Anyway – nope, the memo does no such thing. “Trump” is still going to have to talk to Mueller. Feeling perky is not the same as being either vindicated or found innocent.
Especially since others in the FBI disagree with some of what is in the memo…
The thing that gets me is how people (Trump people) keep on about how the Steele dossier was paid for by Democrats. So? That might mean you wouldn’t take it as true without checking up on it…but you shouldn’t do that anyway. That might mean that you might use it exclusively without seeking corroborating evidence…but you shouldn’t do that anyway. And there is no sign that Mueller is doing that. He is proceeding appropriately, looking at all the evidence, and calling witnesses to testify to what they have done or witnessed or heard.
Trump seems to think that “voted for someone other than Trump” means “not allowed to investigate Trump” because that automatically means bias. The idea that someone could have honesty and integrity as part of their approach, and be fair minded even to someone they do not agree with…well, he is unable to process such a foreign idea.
One of the things the memo left out is the reason Steele was so passionate that Trump should not be elected: it was because of what he knew about Trump’s Russian entanglements. It wasn’t “partisan” and it wasn’t even “because he’s such a horrific person,” it was because the Russians wanted to get him and probably had succeeded in getting him.
And oh gee gosh golly what a coincidence, the sanctions that Congress overwhelmingly voted for are still being blocked by…the Trump admin.
Great American president? He couldn’t swing that for ten seconds in a row on his best of best days. “Historic world leader?” Nope, not that either. I don’t see much of the world following. He’s more like the bad example your parents use, the guide who shows “what not to do” by actually doing it. He’s much more likely to go down as the Last American president than either of the other two things.
YNNB, Obama may go down as the last American President. Trump may be the first anti-American President.
Yes, indeed, iknklast.
I wonder how many Christians are wondering if there might be a better case to be made that Trump, rather than Obama, is more likely to be the Antichrist:
As to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we beg you, brothers and sisters, not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as though from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord is already here. Let no one deceive you in any way; for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first and the lawless one is revealed, the one destined for destruction. He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, declaring himself to be God.
— 2 Thessalonians 2:1–4 NRSV (1989)
For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but only until the one who now restrains it is removed. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will destroy with the breath of his mouth, annihilating him by the manifestation of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is apparent in the working of Satan, who uses all power, signs, lying wonders, and every kind of wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
— 2 Thessalonians 2:7–10 NRSV (1989)
The religious Right has certainly sold what little soul it had by throwing in its lot with Trump. Strange they don’t see it. I guess they went for Supply Side Jesus years ago and this is just the logical conclusion to the purchase of that particular mess of pottage. Such is the seduction of power.
Verily, YNNB.
So who are the two genuine (ha!) prophets who are set to be slain in the street?
AoS, they’d better be staying away from Fifth Avenue.
