PPE at Oxford is what people do when they plan to go into Parliament.
Hitchens did PPE.
The sky’s the limit!
That is wonderful news – I hope she does go into politics, and shines.
It barely seems like 5 minutes ago that I first heard the news of her shooting. It was the first time in a long time that a news item actually brought me to tears. It was also the first time in a many years that I felt a touch of pride in my country for bringing her here and giving her the best chance of surviving her wounds.
My eyes went a little moist again when I first saw this. I wish her every success and the future she dreams of, and so very nearly died for. Here’s hoping she inspires a million more Malalas; the world needs them.
I know. I remember it vividly too.
It was then, while camping out on Twitter to catch the latest news, that I encountered her friend and mentor Gulalai Ismail, who is also doing great things.
