It’s so touching to see men encouraging men to play hockey – one of the more dangerous sports available – against women. Their skulls and arms and legs will be fine, so who cares if the women’s will be smashed?
Ah yes. ‘Rachel’ insists it’s fair to play against women. His Nottingham Uni opponents may not agree.
Rachel is already fully “included” in the men’s division, designed for people of his sex. He can play there to his heart’s content. He doesn’t have to “fight” for any more “inclusivity”; he’s already got plenty, and as much as he needs.
Judging from the picture, it looks like this is field hockey, not ice hockey, so maybe not quite so dangerous. But still a man shouldn’t be playing on a women’s team.
I played hockey at school (just ‘hockey’; as it’s the original version, it doesn’t need a modifier the way, say, ice hockey and water hockey do) and, even as played by teenage girls, it’s bloody dangerous. Put a man on the pitch (and that wouldn’t have happened in the seventies, because it was a ‘girls’ sport’, unlike the manly rugby played by boys) and there will be carnage.
… banning
trans women and certain non-binary peoplemen…I’d be afraid to play hockey against women, let alone men!

Pictured: all the men who should be playing women’s sport.
