She SOLD the TESLA???
Ashley St. Clair, who says she is the mother of one of Elon Musk’s children, has accused the billionaire of withdrawing child support payments to punish her for “disobedience.” It comes after St. Clair said she sold her Tesla car on Saturday to make up for Musk’s alleged 60 percent cut to payments, according to the The Daily Mail.
…
Responding to St. Clair’s claims on Monday, Musk wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out. No court order is needed.
“Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year.”
Not a huge amount of child support for such a rich gangster.
Ashley St. Clair wrote on X on Monday: “It’s ironic that your last effort in court was to try to gag me while you use a social media channel you literally own to distribute derogatory messages about me and our child to the entire world. It’s all about control with you, and everyone can see it.
“America needs you to grow up, you petulant man-child.”
Yeah well that’s not happening.
Frankly I’m impressed she managed to find a buyer.
^ I follow automotive news a bit, and one of the hot topics these days is Tesla losing value, both the company stock value and the used car resale value, over the last couple of months. It’s mostly attributed to Musk turning off the kind of people who would be in the market for an electric car. Tesla is no longer a leader in EV tech, and always had abysmal build quality, so the brand can’t afford a toxic figurehead when there are now compelling EVs offered by the major manufacturers.
‘I bought this before Elon went crazy’ bumper stickers have been selling pretty well (though I’d argue anyone who paid attention to him has known he was crazy since the mid-late 2010s)
The other thing with Tesla is that it makes huge money selling carbon credits to other auto makers whose cars are not electric. Apparentlyy they have over promised this years available credits as a result of declining g sales, which is going to hurt the bottom line badly. Oh Dear. How Sad. Never Mind.
Do you even need carbon credits without the EPA?
Tesla is between a rock and a hard place. It’s basically a carbon credit Ponzi scheme, not a car manufacturer. They sold 2.76 billion in carbon credits in 2024. Like other automakers make more on their finance schemes than they do on their automobiles, Tesla increasingly relies on these credits for profit; it would be deeply in the red without them.
And yet that chainsaw the great geek was waving around at CPAC is headed straight for the EPA. The regulations that make 1/3 of Tesla’s profit happen may just evaporate with a great buzzing sound. Even if they keep the regulations, Tesla’s books are thoroughly cooked.

Fraud, corruption, and self-dealing will have to continue at an ever-larger scale to keep Tesla from submerging. Putting Musk in charge of rooting out government waste is putting a fox in charge of the henhouse.
Let’s ask the “genius” Elon how deadbeat dads use the extra time on their hands.
