Nobody has ever heard of
Ah yes, that infuriating tic.
It’s safe to say U.S. President Donald Trump isn’t exactly endearing himself to many foreign leaders these days.
In the last few days alone, he’s clashed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and paused its U.S. military aid, launched a trade war with Canada, Mexico and China, and mocked Lesotho in his first speech to Congress, claiming “nobody has ever heard of” the country.
That last one – that toddler cognition that tells him what he is unaware of, everyone is unaware of. He lacks that mechanism that adults have, that reminds them of the variety of what different people know. Trump is pig-ignorant therefore everyone is exactly as pig-ignorant as he is. He’s ignorant in himself and ignorant of his own ignorance.
Which makes his partnership with Musk perfectly appropriate, as the latter is crippling or destroying things without bothering to look at what purpose they serve. He doesn’t care, doesn’t know, and doesn’t care to know.
That makes me want to get a Lesotho flag since our new house has a place to put a flagpole.
I guess nobody in Lesotho knows where thy live then, right?
I had a friend who went to UBLS, the University of Botswana, Lesotho, and Swaziland.
From Talking Points Memo:
*Trump has now cut off intelligence sharing with Ukraine, the Financial Times reports.
*Trump’s cessation of U.S. military aid leaves Ukraine vulnerable to Russian air attacks.
*Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sought a limited rapprochement with Trump after being ambushed in the Oval Office.
*Vice President JD Vance sparked fury in Britain fury by calling it a “random country” and mocking its Ukraine peacekeeping plan.
*For the second time in two weeks, Trump nominees to the Pentagon deflected when asking during their Senate confirmation hearings whether Russia had invaded Ukraine.
WHAT????
That is beyond beyond beyond.
I am afraid that this does not surprise me at all. I was more than half expecting it. Despite all his blabber about ‘millions of lives being lost’ as a reason for stopping the war, Trump does not care at all about how many millions of lives are lost if he can punish people who stand up to him by exploiting their weakness. He is wholly disgusting, and so are his billionaire pals & the Republican party. Watching his speech to Congress, with the Republicans rising at every opportunity with smiles on their faces to applaud the lies that streamed from his mouth, was like watching a love-fest for Dear Leader in North Korea.
One reason I didn’t watch it.

Vance went a tad further than that. He said that Britain was a random country that hadn’t been in a war for 40 years. I know that he’s only a youngster but he has to be aware that Britain was America’s main ally in both Iraq and Afghanistan, with our troops fighting and dying alongside Americans. He’s as petty as his boss, slinging insults because Starmer has pledged to increase military aid for Ukraine. Both Trump and Vance must also be aware – or have been made aware by somebody with more than two brain cells – that Starmer referring to the countries that have vowed to assist Ukraine as the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ could easily be interpreted as an insult to America. It’s the name Bush Jnr gave to those few countries that were willing to help rid the world of Hussein, while heaping insults on those who refused to join him, calling them cowards who were aligned with an evil regime. It appears that Trump & Co. don’t like the suggestion that they’re the ones siding with the enemy this time.
Why would they care? Isn’t being the bad guy kinda their thing? Or is this a Gul Dukat sort of thing?
