This Thursday @EdinburghCC will debate a spiteful motion, proposed by SGP councillor Alex Staniforth, intended to coerce Edinburgh Women's Aid into abandoning any single-sex provision for women. Comment piece by @DalgetySusan, motion in next tweet. 1/3https://t.co/KZbxnimeV0

Thank you for the links. I’ve saved them, and screenshots of the tweets, to add to the increasingly long list of articles, tweets, links and screenshots which I am often expected to bring out in support for my argument that ‘trans’ is attempting to take away women’s rights. Not that my interlocutor ever reads them, of course; well, rarely – but they might just help a wavering fence-sitter to come down on the side of reality.
It’s frustrating that so many people (especially when they are women themselves) don’t believe it. They’ve fallen, hook, line, and sinker, for what I believe Arty perceptively calls the ‘archetypal transwoman’; a young, tiny, fragile and effeminate gay teen boy who is no threat to anyone at all, ‘passes’ as a teen girl, and is terribly vulnerable. And who doesn’t actually exist. So precious is this imaginary person to their self-perception as good and kind people, they have created effective force-fields around themselves which repel all information which would show them to have been duped.
tigger… bingo. And for some older women, the experience of knowing a trans “woman” in the 80’s, who was usually an older version of said, or at least a somewhat dainty gay male with a diagnosed case of dysmorphia.

It’s funny how the cruelty and vindictiveness so eagerly ascribed to feminists, is exemplified almost exclusively by trans activists themselves.
There should be a term for that….
@YNNB – you mean Transference? n. 2. Psychoanal. The redirection of attitudes and emotions towards a substitute.
Sorry, nothing that technical; I was being snarky. I was referring to DARVO.
