Sypario was just magnificent at #dragcon #dragconuk #dragraceitalia and had some of the audience in tears. Posting the whole thing to YouTube later. pic.twitter.com/Ikpg2HVWsp

They’re no Karens.
To state the blindingly obvious, any woman presenting like this would not be lauded as being brave, courageously funny, or fantastic. They’d be derided, abused, scoffed at, and everyone would wonder what the hell they’re up to. This is only ‘funny’ and ‘wonderful’ because it’s blokes taking the piss out of women who endeavour to achieve societies expectations of what a women should look like (i.e. heavily made up, glamorously dressed, ornamental). Women. Damned if they do. Damned if they don’t.
On the ‘face’ question: What happens when a non-asian drag queen plays at being Anna-Mae Wong?
How about Lupe Velez, Eartha Kitt, Butterfly McQueen?

I know it’s intended to be parodic but parody needs to be something more than mindlessly slapping together some random ideas from your social media feeds. Mediocre men indeed.
