Fortunately it was in the Washington Post. For all the bad that Jeff Bezos has done, at least he’s allowed the Post to remain independent.
… Why exactly wasn’t this published? It seems rather tame. It even has barbs for camps within both parties.

It wasn’t published because Gannett dropped Doonesbury, along with a bunch of other comic strips, a few months ago, taking effect last month.
Sometimes those mundane explanations just show up out of nowhere to crash the party…
