Alexa Moore is a director of Transgender NI, a newly formed not-for-profit organisation focusing on supporting and campaigning for the human and civil rights of trans people in Northern Ireland.

Well, when you inexplicably decide to call it ‘gender-based violence’ instead of what it is – sex-based violence – why not invite male speakers who believe in magic gender feels? Who cares what women think? They should stay at home, right, and leave the thinking and planning to men! Oh, and the excursions after dark, too.

And here’s what Justin Trudeau had to say as part of his comments on the 35th anniversary of the Montreal Massacre:

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau issued a statement Friday describing the 14 women killed as “talented students, beloved daughters and sisters and Canada’s future. Their lives were tragically cut short simply because they were women.”

“As we remember the victims of this hateful, cowardly act, we are also reminded that, for many women, girls and gender-diverse people, the violent misogyny that led to this tragedy still exists,” Trudeau added.

Please, just fuck off with that “gender diverse” bullshit.

Even Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre managed to insert the g word into his comments:

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre recalled on the anniversary that “this brutality is remembered as one of the worst attacks on women and on the values that unite us.”

“Canada’s promise is one of guaranteed freedom, safety and opportunity for all, regardless of gender or origin,” Poilievre said in a statement. “Any form of violence against women is totally unacceptable.”

I was looking into the anniversary to see if any commemorations were platforming TiMs, as has been done in the recent past. Didn’t notice any, but I didn’t look for that long.
