What of the sporting bodies that allowed and encouraged him to cheat? The local school boards, coaches, parents, state level organizations and enablers like Cyd Zeigler and the ACLU. Those “boos” are as much for them as for the smug, cheating creep on the podium. No, I don’t know him personally, but his presence on the first place position (as well as the girls’ division at all) is all the evidence I need of his smugness, dishonesty and creepiness. No decent young man would do this. Future college recruiters, employers, and all women and girls note: this one’s trouble, and proud of it..
This is Oregon; your “side” (which is to say people who aren’t on Team Tranny) very much include the same sort of people who stormed the Capitol building… and this being Oregon they are pretty unrestricted as far as weapons go (we’re even allowed to carry swords in public).
The wingnuts that are still here are probably the most dangerous outside of Idaho (which they want to join).
Those young women are getting quite an education in how little they matter to those in power. A boy gets a few boos and mainstream media wails until he gets police protection. I have been to many sporting events and some concerts where people were booed. No physical attacks followed the boos. The booers were using their voices to express something.
If any of these young women or their supporters get threats or abuse (IRL or online) there will be no police protection for them.
I would like to point out that there are three sides in this – TRAs, GC feminists, and conservatives. It is a constant claim from the TRAs that all opposition is conservatism, but that is a lie so please don’t buy into it.
I agree with Holms. GC women often aren’t in favour with religious conservatives, and vice versa. Indeed, the most religiously conservative countries on Earth are on the other side – homophobic Islamic countries, giving same-sex attracted people the awful choice between mutilation to resemble, however vaguely, a member of the opposite sex; or death.
Even the GRA in Britain was homophobic to its core, preferring to give certificates to a handful of mutilated people rather than giving marriage equality to all.
I think the point that BKISA was making, and it’s the same observation I had when I saw Facebook posts about this track event, is that American politics tends to be binary, Democrats or Republicans, nothing else. The people who are vocally and visibly up in arms about this young man being given the championship are people who are saying it’s the Democrats who are doing this, vote Red (Republican) in the fall. It is very difficult to find any significant Democratic voice pushing back (grass-roots efforts notwithstanding). If your main voice is your vote, and you care about pretty much anything else (climate change, abortion access, democracy, economic fairness), you have to hold your nose and vote for the people who are on Team Blue, despite disagreeing vehemently with them (and superficially agreeing with Team Red) on this one extremely important issue. I wish that third side were more visible, and I do what little I can to promote it, but American politics is Manichean at its core these days.
My point in context is that this is Oregon, not the UK. You absolutely do need security because the people that don’t like trannies here are by and large the sort of people that feel the need to walk around in public with assault rifles, so “violence does not come from our team” isn’t relevant here.
All this shit is regional in its contours and while I personally do not care what happens to the goblins (as long as the lawlessness isn’t happening in my city) they’re 100% correct to take security seriously.

Security? Since when does the violence come from our team??
But the boos, Holms, BOOS! Everyone knows boos are murder… so SO MANY BOOS means genocide!
Or something.

Well, voting is binary, but that doesn’t make gender-fanatics my or our team.

Ah, now I see what you mean.
