Well any pretence that Twitter is the politically neutral Town Hall is long gone. There was one truth though. This is the most important election of Musk’s life. If Trump wins he stands to gain everything he wants. If Harris wins all the government contracts his companies depend on are endangered by his own partisan actions.

This is wholly unsurprising. It doesn’t seem to penetrate the skulls of those make a noise about ‘Musk haters’ and ’Trump haters’ that those who stand against these men have very good reasons for judging both of them irresponsible and dangerous.
Can I say, regarding Blood Knight’s comments, that what we certainly don’t want to see is the sort of vengeful action that a Trump might take with respect to those whom he regards as his ‘enemies’? What is needed are fair and serious measures that reduce the amount of dangerous and cynical lies and disinformation that Trump, Musk and many others propagate (at the same time as they are happy to try to shut down those who disagree with them), and to hold those who do propagate these things accountable.
As for Musk’s remarks at that Trump rally (‘ President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution. He must win to preserve democracy in America.’), they would make any sensible cat laugh.

If the voting population is made up of a majority of people that Mr. Dark MAGA doesn’t like, then things aren’t going to go his way — well obviously! But why are these people not acceptable to Mr. Dark MAGA? (hint — ask how they are different than him i.e. skin color, language, political potential, etc.). Too bad. Perhaps someone should remind Musk of Trump’s June speech at which he said: “Christians, get out and vote, just this time. You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what, it will be fixed, it will be fine, you won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians.” So, it’s apparently ok if there is no more voting, as long as it’s Trump at the top.
(This brings to mind the classic Rawlsian challenge that one should work towards a social system that one could live with regardless of where one might end up. I doubt that Trump would be able to comprehend this idea; I suspect that Musk probably could if he chose to, but simply would not care.)
