Never enough
She was ten years old, and made to wear a smothering hijab that left only a small bit of central face unmuffled…but even then her father and/or stepmother hated her so much that they tortured her to death over a period of weeks.
The father of 10-year-old Sara Sharif called police from Pakistan and admitted he killed her at their Surrey home, a court heard. Urfan Sharif made the confession in an eight minute-call about an hour after his family’s flight had landed in Islamabad on 10 August last year, before Sara’s body was found.
Did he conclude with “Nyah nyah you can’t touch me”?
Prosecutor Bill Emlyn Jones KC told the court Sara had been the victim of violent assaults for “weeks and weeks, at least”, before he listed a series of injuries she had suffered. He said Sara had external and internal injuries, including extensive bruising, burns and broken bones, old and new. She had burns to her buttocks, caused by a domestic iron, and six “probable human bite marks” to her arms and legs, the prosecution said.
She was tortured to death…but hey, at least they kept her pure with that black tent over her head.
Sara also suffered injuries to her ribs, shoulder blades, fingers and 11 separate fractures to her spine, as well as signs of a traumatic brain injury, the prosecution added.
She suffered agonizing pain for months and months, perhaps years and years.
It seems Allah hates little girls.
So, from a prior story:
Unless there’s something missing from this, it means the five siblings are still back in Pakistan, where they can safely be raised by whomever these wretches decided was a suitable guardian, meaning they’ll continue to be indoctrinated by this corrupt, disgusting belief system.
Also, I was a bit surprised to see the girl’s ‘non-burqa’ photo on the earlier story. It’s even more heartbreaking, in a way–at 10, kids are just starting to show the adults they will become, and she is bright-eyed and cheerful.
All philosophies, religions and traditional ways of doing things I see as being part of the Humanosphere, itself part of the Biosphere, and consisting of members of our species Homo sapiens, together with all our vast collection of ideas, each of which in turn I see as being positioned somewhere on a good-evil spectrum, depending on one’s point of view. That spectrum, in turn, I call ‘The GES.’
Whatever one may think of that particular Mohammad who was the founder of Islam, he also lies somewhere on that GES, along with each his believers and clerics. Like Yeshua bar Joseph, aka Jesus Christ, he was not perfect, and neither have his followers been.
After all the wars of religion, crusades, jihads, etc, etc, etc, down through history, the doctrine of Islam I think has to win the GES stakes, if only by a nose. But it must be remembered that people are generally born into their religion; they are not in the main converts from some other one. Looking among the faces in the street, people are much the same to me: except for some muslimahs, decked out in their hijabs etc. They are most distinctive, in a pre-Mediaeval sense of the word. But, then again, some modern Muslimahs prefer not to proclaim the religion they were born into via their clothing. Other Muslimahs are forced to do so, whether they like it or not; succumbing to family pressure, threat of fatwah. or whatever. The tragic little 10-year-old Sara Sharif can thus be seen as the latest in that category. Call her the latest triumph of Islam.
PBUH: Peace be upon her.
I’ve just heard the end of a radio news report about the ongoing trial. The prosecution said that Sara had been the only member of the entire extended family to wear a burka, and that she was forced to wear it by her father in order to hide the bruising and other marks left by the beatings. At about the same time he had also withdrawn her from school, saying that he would be homeschooling her, but this was actually done to ensure that she couldn’t speak to anybody outside of her family about what was happening to her.
Fuuuuuuuck
So in this particular case Islam was (probably) being used as a smokescreen for something darker… Man oh man…
