Bizarrely storming
A team Trump insult a few days ago:
Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung rushed to defend JD Vance for bizarrely storming Air Force 2 to unsuccessfully confront Kamala Harris Wednesday evening with an unsavory comment regarding the smell of the plane.
Unclear. Vance weirdly tried to confront Harris; Cheung made the unsavory comment.
He hasn’t taken it down; it’s still proudly sitting there, alongside a lot of other trash.
Harris is the first vice president of Indian and Black heritage, and has gained a reputation as a foodie through her series Cooking with Kamala.
Oh, is that the problem? Her idea of good food is not a truckload of McDonalds burgers?
H/t Tim
Harris is so right – these people are weird.
Is it really about food, though? Let’s be honest, Huyen Cheung – later Steven – is the son of Vietnamese and Chinese immigrants, so it’s unlikely that he’ll be weirded out by aromatic food.
AoS, maybe, maybe not. I was in a game chat a few years back with mostly Australians, some of whom I know are of Vietnamese decent. They were slagging off asian immigrants to Australia and when I said ‘yeah, but…’ they just laughed and said ‘but this asians weren’t born here.’ People are weird.
Same here, Rob. And some of the most anti-immigrant Australians I have met bear surnames that indicate they or their forefathers were post-WW2 immigrants.
I do find Vietnamese funny, in both senses, peculiar and ha ha. For what some of them went through to get here after the American War, their humour is a tribute to the human spirit.
