I mean… etymologically speaking, he’s not exactly *wrong* about the word itself being simple (…hey even a stopped clock is right twice a day), even if his definition isn’t quite right. “The stomach is speaking, it always does” is an odd thing to say, and of course irrelevant. So I give his explanation of the word “grocery” a grade of 1/4: a failing grade but part marks for his attempted definition of the word gives him 1.5/4, minus another 0.5 mark for the nonsensical and incorrect stomach statement. His description of the function of the stomach gets a big fat 0, though. Another 0 as a score for whatever point he was actually trying to make, because it’s both indecipherable and lacking any evidence for him or against his opponent.
“The stomach is speaking” could be seen as a metaphor, especially if “stomach” is used as a metonym for the whole digestive system. Lord knows my stomach likes to grumble.
Of course I doubt Trump would recognize a metaphor if it punched him in the stomach.
I’m sure most of his target voters eat factory farmed bacon, except wretches like Trump Jr. and Ted Nugent who like to kill the pigs themselves — but only if the pigs are contained and unable to escape. Mmm, good. You don’t have to worry about the environment…
He also thinks you have to have ID to buy a loaf of bread at the grocery store. He has never bought groceries in his life.

Gawds but I despise the man.
