I think they (at least, many of them) actually are oblivious to the nature of their provocations. They’re so accustomed to the language of trans activism that it doesn’t even cross their minds that referring to someone on the “evil” side as evil, bigoted, or one of “the worst people in the UK” is banal.
Calling JK Rowling “the worst person in the UK” is not equivalent to “I don’t agree with JK Rowling’s views.”
And his depiction of the response is equally dishonest, but in the opposite direction. He skews his own statement towards the innocuous, and the response towards hyperventilating paranoia. Dishonesty x2.
I don’t think he knows what gender criticals do. I don’t think he knows what cultism is. I do know that he/him believes that you can’t say what you see with your own eyes.
I might put PP on that list (not ahead of Farage) but where are BJ and Piers Morgan? Really shows you where someone’s priorities are…

I often feel glum about the state of the UK, but if JKR is the worst person in the country, we must be doing very well.
