The tale of the non-binary shopper
Oh puhleeze. A man doesn’t magically become a not-man just because he calls himself “non-binary.”
A non-binary shopper said they felt ‘dehumanised’ and accused a fashion brand of being ‘transphobic’ after they were refused entry to a women’s changing room.
The “non-binary shopper” is a man. That’s why he was refused entry to a room where women change their clothes. Capeesh?
Giorgio Firico, 21, tried to go to the ladies changing room at Zara in Oxford when the female assistant told
themit was against the rules and refused to givethema number for the clothing.Giorgio, who studies in the US and is in Oxford visiting a friend, said: “I was wearing men’s clothing but I had two gowns on my shoulder, it was obvious what I wanted to try on.”
Oh fuck off Giorgio. The issue is not what you wanted to try on but what’s between your legs. Stop harassing women.
“At first I was shocked and I went away. Then I thought for one second, it’s my right. I do not identify myself as a man, I have a right to be there. I went back and explained clearly, I am non-binary, I am not a man.”
No. No. It’s not your right. It’s women’s right to be safe from self-absorbed (if you’re not lying) or predatory (if you are lying) men. It’s not your right to force yourself on women while they take their clothes off.
“She kept saying it’s against the rules. But I said, I do not think you know my gender identity better than me.”
Giorgio walked past the shop assistant and into the ladies dressing room next to their friend Anna where they closed the curtain and tried on the clothes.
Giorgio said: “Afterwards I went out and said you should be ashamed of the way you have dehumanized me especially as the shop does not have a gender neutral changing room.”
This whole thing is a gift to piggy predatory men.
It’s the women’s dressing room. Not the “I-do-not-identify-as-a-man” dressing room. You do not have a “right” to be there. (Quite aside from the fact that no one has a “right” to be in a private business in the first place.)
Right away, sir, mx, thang. We have fully integrated non-binary male dressing rooms right over here.
Stupid narcissist. “Non-binary” is such a completely idiotic concept. Your “gender identity” is neither male nor female? What does that mean? Seriously! What is it supposed to mean? What is a “male gender identity”? What is a “female gender identity”? What about your body’s sex? Are you going to remove your genitalia leaving only a hole to pee out of? Does your male body give you dysphoria since you aren’t male (or female fwiw)?
How did you end up as such a total idiot???
Why are “non binary” men so insistent they be treated as women?
I think it’s that they’re so insistent they be treated as special and fascinating and vulnerable but brave and blah blah blah. Also male “non-binary” people insist on pestering women for the same reason trans women do – hatred, contempt, urge to dominate.
If you are non-binary, you don’t belong in either dressing room. To go to either one is to declare as that sex. Non-binary changing rooms are more properly no changing room at all.

Even buying into the self-identity delusion, I wonder if the guy even realises what this says about him. It doesn’t matter to him that he is not a woman, he believes being a not-man entitles him to access women stuff. The clear implication being that a woman is simply the absence of being a man. men are men, and women are any not-man.
Hills: Given he came in wearing “men’s clothing” which at one point required trying them on in a men’s fitting room ???! his assumption is his special status gives him access to EVERYTHING. Because, like Moses in the classic Jesus and Mo cartoon, he is just that special.
There are several non-binary changerooms he/she/it could have used. They are collectively called the shop floor, the street outside, and the truck park out the back: provided store management approves of their use for such, and don’t mind his/her male genitalia being on display and waved about in the breeze for all to contemplate. Another, of course, would be the evening TV news, with him being the lead story and given all the privacy he does not mind the genetically female shoppers not having.

No problem. They do not identify as naked.
