The horror
Northumbria Police are freaking out over…graffiti.
I have to wonder if Northumbria Police ever say a word on social media about misogynist graffiti. I don’t know, and I don’t have anywhere near the patience to scroll through their tweets in an attempt to find out, but my guess is that they haven’t. This isn’t a wild guess, but one based on this pattern. What pattern? This one. The one of freaking out about gender-protestantism as if it were a crime to know that men are men. The one of rushing to cuddle and soothe men who claim to be women while never rushing to cuddle and soothe women. The wildly disproportionate concern for men who pretend to be women coupled with the massive indifference about women.
How can women find out more about support from Northumbria Police? Any hints?
“Anyone who has been affected by seeing graffiti can find out more about support available…”
My god, the fragility implied by this sentence is off the charts. If simply seeing a statement that you do not agree with is assumed to cause distress of a degree that requires counsel, and that statement is a plain fact, then that is a demographic that is ill. Statements of reality should not engender such distress, because being able to deal with unpleasant facts is a mark of normal mental stability.
“transphobic graffiti”
Such as?
Define “transphobic.”
You can’t, because it doesn’t mean anything. It’s irrational and incoherent.
You also can’t be trusted. You think that “woman: adult human female” is transphobic. You think that “3 women are killed by violent men every day” is transphobic. You think that “sex is real” is transphobic. You think that “men are not women” is transphobic. You think that truth and facts and reality are transphobic. You are a pack of savage dogs serving the will of vicious misogynists and homophobes.
I think the population should swamp the system with random pictures of modern graffiti, because all modern graffiti is offensive. If asked for specifics just scream transphobic! and run away.
It is awfully convenient that misogyny is not a hate crime. I guess all those law and order types suddenly go woke and don’t want to criminalise a large plurality of the population.
This has just reminded me – sometime last year, I was driving a route that I use maybe once a week or so and noticed a spot where someone had sprayed “woman: adult human female” on the road. I gave an internal cheer and continued with my day. A week later – six days later, to be precise – I drove the same way and there was no sign of it. I wondered if it was the message or the fact that it was on the road surface that had made removal so urgent. Either way, I’d never seen graffiti removed so promptly (if at all). Until days later, when the words “rebel female” appeared on a street cabinet* at a roundabout near me, and were removed not just within days, but seemingly over the weekend by some kind of out-of-hours crack TERF graffiti removal squad. The cabinet now bears some kind of spray-painted scrawl, and has done so for months.
*this is the first time in my life that I have needed to know what to call those boxes-full-of-wires.
