Return of Veronica Ivy:
Veronica Ivy aka Rhys McKinnon was thinking he could do whatever he wanted all the time, because he’s that Sacred Entity, a trans woman, or at least he says he is. Turns out he can’t do whatever he wants all the time.
To be clear, no penalty has actually been imposed yet. This is a complaint asking the disciplinary committee to issue a suspension.
Mister Ivy and his fellow men with issues are not banned from ALL UCI competitions – they can still go compete against the other men.
What does he mean, the Open category isn’t open? Anyone can apply to compete in the Open category. Although I imagine trans men who take testosterone might bump up against anti-doping rules, both trans men and women are eligible to compete in the Open category, no?
Multiple instances of the usual lie: “…their nakedly TRANSPHOBIC ban of trans women from ALL elite competitions.” Nope, just the womens’ division. Because women means female and trans women are male.
Oh and it is beyond sad that he thinks the absence of women – the female ones – from the open category means it isn’t open. Open means they can apply if they want to do so; the reason they won’t is that they know they have no possibility of placing well, let alone winning.
It means that he won’t be able to “compete” at his age with the tremendous advantage that he’s had in the past.

The testosterone would likely be allowed if administered under a medically-regulated program. Even anabolic steroids can be permitted in some circumstances.
@2 I think it’s being recommended that Mister Ivy be banned from all competitions, due to his behaviour. He’s f-ed around and is about to find out, as the kids say.
Yes and deservedly so, but Ivy is claiming all trans women are barred from all competition. Day ending with y sort of thing – Ivy is lying again.
The aggrieved bellowing from Mr. Ivy relies on the idea that he and his comrades in womanface are being oppressed. In what way? “Trans rights” are what exactly? Trans people have the same rights as anybody else – they can get jobs, apartments, married, all the things that, once upon a time, real oppression prevented other minorities from doing.
In this specific case, nobody prevents trans-identifying men (aka “transwomen”) from participating in sport. The association doesn’t even demand that they identify themselves as men; they can compete in the “open” category. The association only reserves the women’s competitions for actual women.
The trans demand isn’t to be equal, the demand is to be in charge. These men (like many other men, come to think of it) want to dominate and control women, who are an absolute majority of the population. A minority wants to rule over a majority. Mr. Ivy doesn’t have any desire to live a quiet life. He doesn’t yearn for freedom. What drives him is making women shut up and submit to him.
I’m sure there’s a word for that, but I find myself unable to come up with it.
