I hate being embarrassed and humiliated. It makes a lot of comedy physically painful for me to watch as so much situational humour relies on the comedy of embarrassment. My initial reaction was the poor man wouldn’t be able to hold his head high around campus ever again. In fact, this might follow him for years. On reflection though, he knew what he was getting into. He should have been better prepared. Much better prepared. Having a solid working knowledge of different definitions of gender, their uses and implications is pretty basic to hosting a discussion of this sort. To fall into the trap of careless using a word of such loaded importance in this context without having a clear understanding of which meaning you were applying is pretty unforgivable. So he deserves any ribbing he gets.
Oh, Rob, you are much nicer than I am! He is precisely the kind of person, arrogant, studiedly relaxed, affecting an air of confidence, who arouses every aggressive fibre in my body (which I don’t distinguish from my mind, or person). I loathe the type with a passion.
Ophelia @3, Hmmm, quite probable. Oh to be solipsistic.
Rev, for me it would have to be the not not not not!
Tim, nicer? I doubt it. Maybe less aggressive? in defence of my latent ability to be not nice, I did come around to the view he deserves whatever he gets. :-)
Great!

Also I think it’s entirely possible he wasn’t embarrassed and doesn’t think he performed badly. Kind of a Boris Johnson type.
The bit between 34 and 37 second mark is to be muy new ringtone!
Hahahahahahahaha

A “Boris Johnson type”? That voice – the man’s a clone.
