Address the reality that sexual differences exist. Address the reality that there are men and women and it’s a complicated (to say the least) story. And that this nonsense of gendered souls only adds to the confusion.
It’s not misogyny that drives this, as I’m sure that both Hunt and Olbermann support a woman’s right to choose when it comes to abortion. It’s that they’ve uncritically accepted the TQ+ claims about gender identity and that this should matter more than biological sex when it comes to same-sex spaces and sport. That both Hunt and Olbermann resort to childish insults in response to Gov. Pillen’s order is not only disappointing, it shows they have no counter-argument to actually make.
After the 2004 election he beat the drums of election fraud along with Greg Palast. He had me in conspiracy thinking mode, too. I watched him for a while thinking “Right on Keith!” I can’t say for sure, but all of that set the tone for Trump’s strategy of claiming fraud at every turn to justify his own attempts at fraud.
And now, here he is, denigrating a woman who lost to a man in sports. She’s a very good swimmer, but he’s just a nasty misogynist in addition to being a left-side conspiracy theorist.
‘It’s not misogyny that drives this, as I’m sure that both Hunt and Olbermann support a woman’s right to choose when it comes to abortion.’
Supporting abortion rights isn’t a sign that a man isn’t a misogynist. Men often support abortion rights out of self-interest, and their preference not to deal with any consequences that might arise from unprotected/casual sex – supporting abortion rights leaves any such consequences purely the responsibility of the woman.
@6 as far as I can tell everyone who makes high-profile statements in support of gender ideology has a trans-identified loved one.

I agree. The question I always asked regarding religion is still pertinent: “If I believed everything they believed, would this action now seem justified?” The answer was usually “yes,” thus pointing to the dangers of the belief, the dogma, the social and psychological system which made certain premises look like verified facts — as opposed to blaming bad people looking for an excuse to do wrong.
The same question needs to be asked by the other side, too. “You just hate trans people because they’re different” results from the failure to ask that question. Misogyny is often the result, yes. But for the most part, I think they sincerely believe they’re dealing with bullies attacking the Wrong Kind of Woman.
So many of the leftist men who call women TERFs and Karens are participating in misogyny even if they believe that they are heralds for the womanly cause. It’s a sad fact that one can believe they are on the Right Side while being assholes.* It’s zealotry that blocks people from analysis of their own motives.
*No one actually believes that their own motivations are wrong, the worst they will believe is that they do the wrong thing for the right ends.
Both Serena and Venus Williams were easily defeated by a male tennis player ranked about 200th in the world and that was after he had had a couple of adult beverages in him. Guess Obermann would say that Venus and Serena both suck at tennis and that is why they lost?
Around 1500 men worldwide have broken the four-minute mile for running. NO woman has ever done this. Guess all the women runners all over the earth just suck at running?
The trans movement has been a present and a joy to misogynists, hasn’t it?
Chutzpah indeed, to tell one of the best female swimmers in the United States, indeed one who earned a trophy at the event in question, that she sucked at swimming. It also strikes me as a very American thing, to think that the only person who is any good is the winner and everyone else sucks.
Sackbut: “Git gud nub” is a pretty universal thing, I think. “Oh, you have a criticism or complaint regarding this thing? That must be because you’re just a scrub noob, and I can show everyone else that I’m not a scrub noob by calling you a scrub noob. Ha ha! Checkmate, atheist!”
Hunt shut down a lot of Nebraska work for some time by filibustering everything because some people wanted to protect same sex spaces.
This has become the heckler’s veto: Do things the way I want, or I will shut down everything. Shut down funding for schools, for welfare, for roads, for whatever, if trans people are told to go to the bathroom that matches their biological sex.
I think Olbermann’s comment about Gaines is in the sad, sorry tradition of taunting someone for being a sore loser. That he said it on Twitter is just par for the course.

Keith, can you just address the reality and move past it? You suck at critical thinking and say asinine things. That’s why you’ve lost relevance.

Blank slate feminism is bad for women, exhibit 24602.

is he personally invested?
a child/relative/close person is trans?

I can agree that it’s not misogyny alone that drives all of it, but by god it’s a huge party and treat and ice cream sundae for misogynists.

Sort of…unbalanced in outcome, it seems to me.
some people wanted to
protect same sex spaceshurt my childis it same case for other senator (“Cavanaugh”)?
also one/all of the children there?
or – I see C. is from a family of politicians – just career politician “betting on that horse” in this instance?
