Nanoparticles that let you travel back in time
Since mid-February, [Naomi Wolf] appeared at least seven times on Fox to discuss her views on the pandemic: twice apiece on Tucker Carlson Tonight and The Revolution with Steve Hilton, and three times on Fox News Primetime, the most recent of which came Monday night. Wolf cited the notorious anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. during that interview to argue that Dr. Anthony Fauci, Bill and Melinda Gates, the state of Israel, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were engaged in some sort of nebulous but sinister vaccine conspiracy.
In order to [your best guess here].
It is irresponsible for a news outlet to give Wolf that sort of credulous attention. Her social media channels are littered with absurd claims about the virus and its vaccines. Between her first and second Fox appearances alone, she tweeted that a new technology allowed the delivery of “vaccines w nanoparticles that let you travel back in time”; that the Moderna vaccine is a “software platform” that allows “uploads”; and that due to face masks, children now lack “the human reflex that they when you smile at them they smile back” and have “dark circles under [their] eyes from low oxygen.”
On Sunday night, Wolf cited purported reports of women who “bleed oddly [from] being AROUND vaccinated women,” pointing her followers to a Facebook group which at one point had been titled “All Vaccines are Fake.”
Vaccinated women emit menstruomadness particles! It’s a proven fact!
I’d consider this entertainment if not for the number of people who think she’s credible.
My only question is HOW FAR BACK IN TIME? Great Auks, Moas, Elephant Birds, Mammoths and dinosaurs await! Just the thing for my inner Calvin! https://calvinandhobbes.fandom.com/wiki/The_Jurassic?file=Jurassic_comic_strip.jpg
In her latest book Doppleganger activist/author Naomi Klein discusses, among other things, the impact of Wolf’s career on her own:

Just FYI: I noticed a recent report (https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-023-02996-6) of an increase in the incidence of vaginal bleeding in post-menopausal women in vaccinated (mRNA mainly, I think) populations compared to non-vax. The only concern here was that the bleeding might be confused with bleeding caused by something serious (e.g.endometrial carcinoma) and raise a false alarm. The bleeding was not a medical concern in itself (in the authors’ opinion). Of course such bleeding is not transmissable as Wolf appears to suggest but such findings might provide the grain of truth to nourish her nonsense among the faithful.
Interesting; thank you.
I believe that at a certain point, no matter how absurd the claims, if they’re held by a large enough group of people and are having a large enough effect on society, that conspiracy theories need to be seriously addressed and debunked. I can’t see that insulting such people and hoping they just go away has been a successful strategy.
Of course, it would help if the authorities didn’t do stupid things like saying that Ivermectin was “horse medicine.” (It is developed for horses. But it’s also made for human use and has been for decades. And for a while, there were legitimate medical practioners who thought it effective for treating symptoms of a mild case of COVID.)
When dealing with people who believe the government is lying to them, it’s a good idea to not lie to them.
@3 There are definitely credible reports of menstrual disruption as a side effect of the covid vaccines, which are being compiled for study now – it’s a shame that at the time there was a knee-jerk ‘nothing’s happening, everything’s fine’ reaction rather than appropriate information gathering and analysis. But, as we know, it’s only women who were affected so who cares.
Naomi Wolf somehow manages to endorse this nonsense while condemning JK Rowling and what she calls a “moral panic” around trans issues. Some women apparently fail to believe that transwomen are women no matter how much cosmetics they apply. Maybe they’re hysterical, Naomi.
Need it be pointed out that blind babies smile? Whatever you think about kids masking, this is a ridiculous argument…
Why do I suspect that Wolf has been going around giving creepy smiles to children (possibly while asking them about their vaccine status) and when the kids just back away from this odd person, she concludes, a la Principal Skinner, “is it me that’s weirding the kids out? No, no. It’s the children who are wrong.”
Every time I read anything about Wolf, I feel dumber than beforehand. Mind you, there’s a growing list of people that fall into that category, but she’s really up near the top.
@5, the problem was people were taking veterinary formulations of Ivermectin when doctors wouldn’t prescribe it because they could get it at placed like Tractor Supply.
