I think the subtext is that it would be an insult to call men anything other than “men”, because “man” is the greatest compliment that one can give; whereas, on the other hand, the word “women” is a vile curse word, not to be mentioned.
It does appear they know which sex prostate cancer affects.
I told a caller last week that I would not donate to their group as long as they considered “woman” as hate speech, and refused to use it. The caller seemed confused; he said “but you could give as little as $25!” I guess he has a standard script, and is used to people saying they didn’t have money right now. The idea that someone would decline to donate due to misogyny is not in the script.
Five million people received cervical screening invites last year, but almost a third of people eligible haven’t come forward. If you‘ve been invited, take Jodie’s advice and book an appointment — it could save your life.
Could be that one or two of the people (sorry) men who dress up in womens’ clothes and like to pretend that they are women have also had a genital transplant, cervix included. But I guess that for the rest of the transwhatevers, it does not apply.
Still, better to allow a million women to be offended than one transpretender. Women are used to it, while many transpretenders are still groping around in the dark, and are so easily upset..
I saw a gyno advertisement for a Jersey practice Now Offering cervical exams to those who males were assigned female at birth and on that island. I bet the one man with a cervix is so relieved.

I think there’s another layer of subtext underneath what you have written. It is a subtext of violence and misogyny bubbling furiously just below the surface. Why is it a compliment to call someone a “man,” and an insult not to? “Man” is the default person, the only kind of person who has any value. “Women” have no intrinsic value; they exist only to serve the demands and appetites of men, and to be slaves to men, to do all the scut work that is below the dignity of a real human being. The worst thing you can call a man is anything feminine. They react with violence if you insult them in this way. You don’t neglect to call a man a “man,” because he will hurt you if you do.
@7: Yes!! I know someone whose problem with the trans movement is that “If I have to defend that I’m a man, I’m prepared to do that even by means of violence.” I used to think that I could talk to him about my anti-trans positions (since there are few people with whom I can discuss such matters), but I’ve come to realize that there’s little overlap between our positions. And this is a guy who is otherwise generous, helping me and others in times of need, etc. But he cares about “masculinity”, and, as he said, if this concept is questioned, he is prepared to defend it with violence.
No wonder NHS England is scared to erase the word “man”.

Omar #4: “transpretender”
Wasn’t that a song?
“Oh yes, I’m the great transpretender (ooowooowooo)
I really am a woman, not a man…”
Thankyuhverruhmuch
