Intimidation and bullying in the House of Commons
The Lloyd Russell-Moyle ragefest was even worse than I knew. He wasn’t satisfied with just shouting at Miriam Cates and stabbing his finger at her and making rage-face at her; he got up and went to sit close to her and stare at her. Sicko.
Sergeant-At-Arms is explicitly supposed to prevent that. He should have been immediately ejected from the chambers on order of the Speaker. ‘Crossing the floor’ has a very specific meaning, and the distance from bench to bench is two sword lengths for a reason.
I hate that my immediate reaction is “well now I kind of love Paul Bristow, insert-heart-emoji-here”, but here we are.
All those “#notallmen” dudes? Take note. Doing nothing merits no praise while you and your dudebros act like Lloyd there, even once. All that it takes for evil to triumph…
Re Lloyd Russell Moyle
Deranged, deluded and off the wall. Not a pal of Harry and Meghan is he?
I would never vote Labour, but there are one or two decent M.P.’s in Labour and Rosie Duffield is most certainly one of them. I listened to her speech on abuse. It was corageous and compelling listening. Her speech on gender deserved to be listened too without the verbal abuse by morons. Moyle’s crossing the floor to intimidate Miriam Cates need’s the most severest disciplinary action taken against him.
